Unlike the Switch version, the default difficulty is set to Normal. This seems slightly more difficult than the Arcade original as enemies take more hits. A really nice remake, but I wish they included the Amiga version soundtrack.

Sure. perhaps not all of you know that this platform arcade game was released in 1989, later converted for Atari, Sega Megadrive and Amiga. I know it because I played it all my childhood as a child on my old Amiga 500.

Se supone que los acontecimientos suceden en la prehistoria, a juzgar por la escena inicial, sin embargo luego hay un nivel en una especie de fábrica industrial... un poco incoherente eso.

Todo el juego es un poco coherente para gorilas zombies, arañas que disparan cosas en varias direcciones, cabezas de monos que escupen fuego, otros monos que son como gargolas... Todo en si no tiene sentido... Pero es divertido

A good example of how design trumps technology.
I'd much rather play/watch the technologically outdated original, because this remake fails to make proper use of the audiovisual fidelity the h/w introduces, instead sacrificing clarity of expression. Don't get me wrong: I'm all for high-fidelity remakes... *if done right.*

Wow, it is beautiful. I wonder how close one could get to this on an Amiga 1200 or 3000. I guess it would either need a harddrive or a ton of memory. The underwater part seems to have at least 4 layers of parallax? But it is still 2D, not a 3d platformer.

Definately. Changed a lot of the enemies, and death sequenses of the bosses to the worse as well.

@@renzogiglioli graphics is not everything. I beat Toki so far on easy mode and enjoyed it.otoh many graphically impressive games are in fact boring and bad.
