You need to use the ground clamp. Pilot arc plasma cutters have a small gauge wire that runs through the torch lead to give you the pilot arc, but that small wire wasn't meant to carry the full amperage load of cutting, that's what the ground clamp is for.

Great vid I just got one ,,But mine cuts without the ground clamp I wanted to know what the ground clamp is for ? Its a no touch cutter
