Nice tribute to Hanneman. Jeff's the reason I stopped drinking and remain sober to this day. No one wrote riffs like Jeff, and he'd still be with us writing them had he stopped drinking. RIP Jeff
Strong album, to get through War Ensemble Blood Red the number associated with Ed Gein can't forget about spirit in black hallowed point born of fire hell I love all this mofo myself as well
Has some good songs but Reign In Blood is the best, if not for RIB Slayer would never have even come close to forging the reputation that they have as one of the top heavy metal bands.
@@Paidinfullcc1gt Well, gotta figure they started it off speaking for Josef Mengele right off the bat which got banned from Germany it's a strong strong album
So... I'm 41 and just about 6 months ago,I gave it a whirl. Fucking awesome! I read and understand lyrics. I try to get others to listen, but they are not for it. Long live Slayer!

Skeletons was instantly my fav. song on Seasons. Don't have to agree. I don't care. I rode my bike to the mall bought this shit on cassette. That's right. Old school Slayer Junkie.
Had to play this, sitting here before class and everyone wants to listen to rap or whatever they call it now days loud in their car . Hate listening to that crap. So now they listen to slayer with me!!
Shut up. "Rap" or whatever they call it nowadays the name hasn't changed. Enjoy metal and leave other people interests alone that's why no one likes us metalheads cause people like you think you're someone how better to listen to a genre of music
I'm old enough to remember finding out that this album was just a few months away from release. I want to say October 1990. This is one of my favorite Slayer songs from any album. It just chugs along with nasty Lombardo drum fills and Guitar solo trade offs. Good job on the image timing. I'd love to see a version of this set to Walking Dead or some other Apocalyptic theme. ;-)
...and they were released on Seasons on October 9, 1990 (I bought it the day it came out.) We didn't have the handy dandy interwebs in 1989 to have heard it beforehand, unless we were lucky enough to have heard it live. "Made" and "Released" are very different concepts.
From the start of the song to about 16 seconds it pauses then them drums rollin with the symbols i just discovered this awesome shit normally i dont do slayer lyrics lil extreme for me but this fuckin rules
The lyrics make me wonder if the band slayer is aware of paganism in religion. Amen=Amon Ra Sunday the day of sun worship West=christain nations One world religion

Underrated song maybe? One of my favourites, simple but crazy drums and crazy guitar solos.
Me too. My absolute favorite!
Slayer always has niiiiiiiice drumming. Its one of my favorite things about them honestly.
huge song
@Brad Viviviyal I don't think SITA is underrated, people tend to put reing in blood at the top, but this is still a masterpiece for everyone
nobody underrates this song anywhere

"Shades of death are all I see, fragments of what use to be." Something about that quote...... I love it SO MUCH!!!!!
Great song, almost prophetic. Even though it’s an old song, I fear it’s more relevant now than ever.

This is a tribute to the society we live in today, the rich become the begger, the fool become the wise.......
Grateful to be alive & sober so I can enjoy listening to Slayer !!
Feel that. I was a mess in my teens and twenties. Didn't thinking I'd be going down memory lane with old.slayer songs
R.I.P. Jeff. You will be sorely missed.
Thank you for making this! I am using it for my philosophy class at Maryville University online.
Awesome song. Reminded me of the aftermath of the Apocalypse.

For me, the worst (though still cool) songs on a Slayer album are Kerry's song. EXCEPT he did write "Disciple" .... So he is a genius

This was back when Kerry actually wrote GOOD lyrics
Why cut out a 5-second verse right before a solo, I can hear the point the riff is cut out . Anyway great vid thanks for lyrics!
