- Florida Baseball and TCU Baseball played in the bracket final at the 2023 College World Series. Florida would advance to the College World Series Finals with a win, while TCU needed a win to force a winner take all game on Thursday.

I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Props to the gators winning three one run games isn't easy my frogs gave yall everythinf but couldn't capitalize on opportunities given to them.
Uf Fan here. You guys definitely kept me on pins and needles. If UF didn't win the bracket, I would have no problem with TCU or Oral winning the NC. In fact, those would be my top two choices for the whole field of 8 besides UF.

3rd time I've seen guys of this caliber pop up a bunt. Twice in the game last night. All were caught for outs.. my little league guys knew to keep bat head above the handle when bunting.. I think before this I've maybe seen 3 pop up bunts in my life. Anyways. Great games so far.

A good college team is not unlike a rookie-level or even single-A minor league team. Major league scouts value playing time in the SEC very highly, I've heard that a season in the SEC is the equivalent to a season in AA in terms of valuable experience gained.
A college team could beat a major league team but they'd need to have a very good pitcher play extremely well. It's possible but unlikely.

TCU clearly didn't belong in the football championship game - not even on the same field. But they tried in baseball. Texas won baseball national championship in 2005 and football national championship in 2005. TCU was close in baseball but no a good enough team to even make the finals.

Beat Michigan handedly, undefeated regular season, and played their worst game of the season by far against one of the best college football teams of all time. Definitely deserved to be there.
Also, TCU is 8-3 against Texas in football since joining the Big 12. And their baseball team is 21-17 against UT since 2010. Lmao
