I love your comment about when everything is going great, the thing that happens next is probably gonna be bad. Life with boats is love \ hate.

Folks, you’re doing great. I would recommend a maintenance checklist and a motoring checklist when leaving \ approaching a dock.

thx....great idea....I had a small note pad I kept at the helm with needs and checks...kinda made it as we go as we learned a new need😂

I would do a laminated sheet(s) that doesn’t get damaged by water or other means. It just easier
Without thinking about all the must does, buy replacement bolts for the prop connection just in case. enjoy the journey!!!

NOTE to self: when wind gets knocked out of you lighting a cigar solves it. 😂 ❤

no bug zapper....the screens held some of them off from inside...but it was a bit brutal, but we handled it!

I may have to move back to Florida just so I can be useful to captain Keith

The first time I saw you driving the boat, I worried about the longevity of the transmissions.
You'd do well to seek advice of the mechanics on how to shift them.

thx....already did before I left the dock the first time....Transmissions have been good so far but they are old...hoping to get a few years out of this set up before repowering with diesel motors.

@@saltybushwacker2023 Ask different mechanics. You abuse the transmissions the way you shift them.

RUclips might block you. Its now known as a Non Binary shift selector.
