He's Number 1 from that era - all the rest can't sing to save their lives - Gillan, Coverdale, Johnson, Osbourne - Graham can blow every one of them off the stage - the man's phenomenal. Jesus, he's 75!!
Most definitely he would blow away Coverdale and a few others in one particular area of singing. But being a lead vocalist in a rock band isnt all about being loud and shouting. There's more to singing than that. Then there is a thing called stage presence + putting on a show. Bonnet was useless compared to all the big guns like Dio, Coverdale, Plant, Kedis, Halford, Johnson, Hagar, Rose, ect. Standing up there like a mannequin dummy kills it for me no matter what way you can sing. Thats why he couldn't handle guys like Malsteem either because he couldnt compete with him on stage. The likes of Coverdale, Halford, Dio never let their gifted guitarists ever overshadow them on stage and knew how to handle themselves. And finally, Bonnet wouldn't tie Coverdale's, Halfords shoes as a writer either is a huge part of being a singer and earning money.
Unreal, considering Coverdale, Bon Jovi, etc have ruined their voices, it’s absolutely epic to hear Graham at a similar age still belting it out with an incredible voice, awesome absolutely awesome.

Graham & Cozy recorded demo & basic tracks for the Difficult to Cure album, but they were both sacked. Listen closely to the chorus of I Surrender, you can almost hear Graham.

Ritchie didn‘t show up very often for rehearsals and there wasn’t much songwriting either, so GB left. Cozy left too, as Don Airey had also confirmed. Cozy didn‘t like the increasingly commercial direction that Blackmore wanted to explore and he particularly thought that Since you been gone was not suited for Rainbow, so he left after the Donington gig. None of them was fired.

I've heard of Anthem before I didn't know Graham collaborated with them that's awesome back in the 80s I really got into another metal band from Japan called Dead End loved all the stuff on Danse Macabre and the album Blood Music

Bonnet's going on pretty darn well for a 75 year old.. Sound/mixer man should up his work though, he cut off Bonnet in the start and didn't turn his volume high enough ..
