The bass Player Jim was talking about is My Dad Jerry Scheff.
They asked Jerry to Join the band after they recorded and then jim went off and died.
So tragic for Everyone. I wonder If my dad would have left his Elvis Gig for The Doors.
WHAT DID YOUR DAD SAY ABOUT JIM? ANY STORIES?
Wow the bass line on la woman is his!
Wow, super cool. I dig your Dad’s bass work on The Doors albums (fellow bass player here). Cheers.
Elvis would have been devastated. The next bass player sucked but Scheffy came back!!!
wow, thats awesome. I saw Jerry being interviewed about his experience recording LA Woman with Jim and could see that he knew him well. Of course, Jim admired Elvis very much too.
Even ordering a takeaway sounds like poetry . .
He’s such a polite speaker
Can you imagine taking the call from Jim Morrison ordering delivery. I would love to have delivered that one
it’s ridiculous how much hate pam receives from doors “fans” as if they knew her or about her first hand. let their souls rest in peace.
There is NOT one single reason to even dislike Pam. Jim loved her so if you didnt like her SHUT THE FUCK UP. speaking for Jim.
@@KnockOffBeingFat fr.
@@KnockOffBeingFat they both made mistakes like every being
If you have listened to all of the interviews from Jim's closest friends and his body gaurd he was very close to, Pam was a junkie. Pam used heroin like it was water. Jim had never done heroin before, he was only into acid and drinking. According to them that's why Pam and Jim fought violently because, Jim knew how dangerous heroin was. They go on to say that Jim started to drink even more heavily because the stress of her drug use. They also all said that Pam was a very dangerous influence on Jim. Why he loved her is beyond me. She admitted that she lied to Jim and, blamed herself for his overdose because, she told him it was cocaine. Know one believes her that she wanted to call a doctor and Jim said no. She didn't call a doctor because, she was terrified to get caught with the heroin and, her deailer was freaking out because, he knew he would be thrown in prison. She thought of herself, she's a selfish person. She's also the one who kept harping on him to move to Pairs with his money. The whole time with Jim she never had her own money she used Jim's money. She wasn't getting along with the band or people around Jim that she wanted to isolate Jim from those who honestly cared about him. If she loved him as much as she professes she would have gotten him a doctor even if Jim had said no as she claims. That's what a good person does, that's what love is. Wanting the love of their life to stay alive. Why do you think that she had a closed casket and didn't call anyone after he died. Very sad, so ya, that's why people hate her!!!!!!!
@@Bella.216 You're correct. She was manipulative and led Jim to his early demise. She had a closed-casket and fled Paris because it was more of a crime scene than a funeral. Don't forget she buried Jim in the cheapest casket available and didn't even give him a headstone
This is awesome! To just actually hear three minutes of the every day life of Jim and Pam. Jim calling to 'make an order' and discuss the address of where they were. AWESOME!
Isn’t it great? As a teenage fan in the 80’s I never dreamed that I would hear a glimpse of this 30 some years later. Technically has it’s good points. Wish there was more.
Jim seems happy and in love. Let her talk. Jim doesn't care, so no one else should.
He and Pamela were perfect for each other.
I was a cab driver for 18 years, then I was a dispatcher for 23 years before I retired, and I absolutely hated when idiots called wanting a cab and had to ask someone in the room where they were, did you not think you would need to know the address of where you are at before calling a cab company, on top of that there's some goofy woman in the back ground that sounds really drunk or high and not that bright. I know this is the lizard king, MrMoJoRisin but I would probably have hung up on him.Or at the very least told him I couldn't hear him because of the goofy broad in the back ground , and scolded him about not knowing where he is before making a call like that. Other than that, I did enjoy this video.
I missed the dial tone of the rotary phones. I used to play on them all the time as a kid. 70's & 80's
Great to listen to,also how funny listening to Jim dialing on the old rotary phone,
Jim dialing on the phone! Fantastic
Beautiful photos 💕
Jim Morrison’s only true love ❤️
Don't be deceptive. This is only a SMALL fragment of the total interview.
Pam sounds like Ruth Bader Ginsburg stoned. Jim sounds like he’s looking for any type of food or booze to make him forget or just drift.... sad how trapped he was here, both of his own device and indust funny house.... not here to disparage, the dude was a tour de force of talent. Just very displaced and mismanaged at this point. Paris actually wasn’t a bad move, he just needed some straight elder guidance who could help navigate. His career, along with legal issues had him at a tricky crossroads. Sad loss to the arts, esp what may have happened forward in film and writing. Went out strong though. LA woman is as good as the 1st album and more profound, top to bottom.
it is a very beautiful thing, it does have a conclusive sound to it. I'm glad you enjoy :)
Tiffany Eileen Bankes Hi, thank you so much for this video, listening to Jim Morrison's voice make me so weak, lol; Jim's voice is so sexy
This is a part of a longer interview here on uTube with Ben Fong-Torres of Rolling Stone magazine.
This is the first time I have heard Pam's voice. Fascinating. Is this the only recording of her voice?
I've been looking for (listening for) a recording of Pam's voice. This means a lot to me and in a half an hour my Zoom therapy session begins and this will be the headlining ramble. Bless you for posting this!
This was his true ❤️ LOVE.
Last interview and all he wanted was wine or beer, then orders food? I love jim
Jim and Pam
Real Love never dies...
Many women held him in their arms but he could never forget the heartbeat of Pam's made him so weak kind and sweet
+Daniel Lange THE OFFICE!!!!
The girl rambling is not Pam. You can hear Pam when Jim asks her a question. She’s very soft spoken.
I love this interview. It is so cute. Them being themselves. Jim ordering takeout and Pam talking about his poetry 💕💕💕
Stop being naive. Both drunk n drugged n ordering more.
Such talent.. I was really in love with the Doors ... Tragic that drugs and alcohol abuse most usually end lives.. I used to believe he was still alive somewhere with Hendrix... I wonder how music of that generation would be different if drugs were not a part of it, though.. It was my era of music... 70s/80s for Rock n' Roll..... at it's best
Jim Morrison died before his time so sad
Morrison was such an enigma. All that was lost with his premature death. I love how he is more concerned with getting alcohol.
Whether you enjoy this audio or not, it's NOT an interview. It's more like the confusing ambient noise you hear when somebody butt-dials you.
Who else googled the address?
RIP.
Jim was calling Gil Turners liquor where they deliver.
So what?
WHAT DID HE ORDER?
They got patato chips ?
Half pint of Beefeaters Gin
Джим❤️Памела❤️🌹 очень красивые,теперь они ангелы !
It's interesting to read the comments in the 21st century...people using words like Rock Star....God.....then marvelling that Jim was ordering wine and/or beer as if it is mythical and wild to do. Jim was never a rockstar and no evening meal is complete then or now without beer or wine in Europe or Middle class America.
Apparently Jim Morrison's father was the U.S. naval officer in charge of the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Maybe that's why he always told reporters his parents were dead.
funny coincidence, huh
i didnt expect her voice to be so innocent.
Hoyt Axton playing in the background
Yes , same here
2 kids with lots of money and SOO HEY lets drink ourselfs to DEATH lol OH WELL
She constantly bugged Jim about quitting the band and they fought a lot about it! I think Jim died of an ACCIDENTAL OD of heroin bc he didn’t know it was heroin! I think he thought it was cocaine! Maybe someone at that bar told him this bag is cocaine but the others were for Pam, which we know was heroin. He consumed a lot of alcohol and then snorted what he thought was cocaine!
Pam was bipolar, jim wasnt. He was just depressed. The two of them where a match made in hell.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I couldn’t stand this lady for one minute she never stops talking Jim could’ve got a better looking woman maybe it’s just the fact that she’s probably Irish and he’s part Irish. I still think she’s most likely responsible for contributing to his death oh well, all history now . R.I.P. Jim and thank you 🙏🏻
I think so too! She was a heroin addict and he used to buy her drugs for her and the night he died, he got the heroin from some dealer in Paris and I think he s opted a bit of it and was already drunk so the combo killed him! If Pam wasn’t into heron, Jim might not have died that night! Maybe his first time trying it or maybe he had a small separate bag of what he thought was cocaine and snorted it. He might have been told that but idk how you would confuse the two...smell, taste or something else would tell you it’s not cocaine! Either way, lethal dose mispxed with alcohol stopped his heart...very sad!
"And a half pint of beefeater" fucken ay man
@@Demos357 no what? Pretty sure no one was talking to you.
It’s sad. Been there; done that. The only thing he’s interested in is getting the Beefeaters.
Can see why Jim found her attractive.
Lioninthenight
Cause she NEVER stop talkin???....😍
I can see why, too. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
jims voice sounds pleasent and kind, must have changed while drunk?
yes big time Jeckl and Hyde
Can I have a dozen wings to go with that??
Jim like s his chicken and his pork and beans,
I LOVE...ART?
What was the address of Mis Gardiner?
Yeah right
That is not me.
1/2 pint of Beefeater and some potato chips!

Seems to be the eternal trend when it comes to rock star muses. Priscilla with Elvis, Pam with Jim, Yoko with John. wtf
No
CooManTunes I gotta add Kurt and Courtney
You should have write : hate her cause I love Jim????
Pamela can’t stop yapping... she has a very irritating sounding voice going on and on non stop
cyber punk
I KNOW!!!!😋😖
🙈🙉🙊
Leave Pam alone. All this hate on her is just too fucking stupid.
Pretty cool and calm voice, think Jimmy was too high to talk.
very intetesting...lol
a bag of potato chips
This is just a woman wittering with a voice that gets on your nerves. Oh! And Jim ordering potato chips.
Pamela and Jim always looked so miserable...
No they don’t. Please stop hating on Pam.
@@natalienordine6906 Well, stop to see haters every where, nothing like that here.
who gives a Rats ass? lol
Half a pint of gin
WTF. Jibberish-Rotary phone-cool. Gin and potato chips Apt# ??? More Jibberish
Pam was nothing but a california groupie who found the length and fit.
That is just not true
Yes i.put quarters on my far head lol
It could have been anything really. A bottle of aspirin in the medicine cabinet . omg Jim is dead again.
Horrible interview
crying shame. generations miss him.
IT'S SO funny listening to someone DIAL a PHONE
😋☎ 1:16-1:17
I thought the same thing when I listened to the whole interview...would anyone under 25 know what they were hearing
I don’t think Pam is the one rambling. You can hear Jim talking to Pam in the background around 0:13-0:22. “Honey is there any wine or anything?” “I’ll call.”
You can hear her again around 1:00. Very, very soft spoken.
I agree
@awakeinthedream1111 As an obsessive Doors fanatic, I can tell you that is indeed Pam talking to the journalist Ben Fong Torres about Jim's poetry. When Jim asks if there's any wine, he's speaking to Pam's friend Diane. It was Diane's house they were hanging out at. 😀
Jim ordering half a pint of Gin n some potatoe crisps, and Pam clearly off her rocker....can't stop talking... A match made in Heaven.
Has this man, for whatever reason, ever been sober?
Too bad Pam ended up like just about every other heroin junkie in the history of heroin…..dead of an OD.
In China the dealers get a bullet in the back of the head after the trial. Every heroin dealer should get the same.
This is the strangest life I've known
This is one of the coolest things i've ever heard.
Love to them. What a time travel. I almost feel like I'm there, hangin with Jim and Pam. So odd and yet so cool. I wonder what Jim would make of that. All of us from his future listening in on his past..I think he would be fascinated by the idea anyway. Rest in peace brother and sister.xx thank you.
Jim was very much a voyeur, he wrote about it quite a bit in his early poetry and other writings. There is a book by Jim’s friend in college, Dennis Jakob, where he describes following Jim one night and seeing him peak into oriole’s windows in Venice Beach. I think he’s find it interesting…
JIM set pam up with a clothing store called THEMIS, my pal ned worked there, she seemed an odd partner for jim....
Message from OP:Hi all, it's great to see so many people interested in the video. I found this interview while combing through some forums on Jim/Pam/The Doors. All of the known information is included in the description.
Also, I'd like to take a minute to promote a good friend of mine's channel. If you're interested in looking for a new phone or are interested in technology I suggest checking out Corey at Techmee
Thank you for your continued support!
The only thing Jim is worried about is getting the booze. That’s an alcoholic
Probably pams talking too much lol
what would Morrison think of this internet cell phone looking talking through an phone.
He would have loved today's technology.
Pam to Jim Morrison is Yoko to John Lennon !!!!
"A lot of the time, he seemed like a kid..." The Freudian explanation(s) would be too much for 500 characters, but they would say, when trauma sets us back, we become "fixated" at a certain age. But there is also the fact that almost everyone thinks of him/herself as a certain younger age, usually around 12. Since being who he truly was, was so important to Jim, that younger who-he-was would be more apparent than w/ corporate execs on their way up, etc
kids have no idea that's Jim dialing a phone. 8216 Norton Ave
A lot of the time he seemed like a kid... not that he wasn't macho, too!
You try to make reasonable, even just, comments; you try to basically have a decent conversation. But everywhere, some of the most evil suggestions are made, threats and worries, that are completely unneeded. This need for the extreme wicked to control every thought and word, is not normal or necessary. But it is life in our times. We are not a wise people.
2:38 is that Anthony Kiedis?
Trolls aren't a new phenomenon -if they were allowed access to the tomb of Byron, Shelley or Keats it would be scrawled with the scratching of embittered losers too. "Critique" is the tribute that mediocrity pays to genius -it's futile clawing at immortality.
Pamela was much more talkative than Jim was.
This is a "last interview"? It's a muttering woman and a take-out order, for chrissake.
I'm sorry you didn't find this interesting, I enjoyed hearing his daily life! Much different than the standard interview!
Tiffany Eileen Bankes hey tiffany, I really enjoyed it! I remember first time i heard it I was memorized by him ordering. people think that may sound stupid but the person on the other end probably had no clue when he gave his name, morrison. I like the half pint of beef eater to. Cool upload. thank you!
37Dionysos what a crybaby ooh I'm so hurt!!
@@richardfuller3309 what is Beef Eater? Yep this was prety cool.
ya but its Pams and Jims voice you hear
The woman never stops talking. She seemed to like the celebrity spotlight. Tragic end for both of them.
They were two good and caring people. Never met them , but I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO. I think they would have been easy to make friends with. Life is difficult and it can crew up good people , thus kill them.
I have never thought she was beautiful.
I laugh every time I listen to this because Pam talks and Jim just steamrolls over her like she's not even speaking. If you listen to her contributions to this interview, you'll see why. She's very much a bubblehead. Lol
