I hopped back on Panjura the passed couple of nights. 15 players on one of the servers. Always thought it was a nicer looking, more forgiving map than Gondwa. You can actually drink the water too. I wish they'd put the thallo on there. The whole reason I turned crossplay on.

would love a Panjura revamp or just a whole new map tbh. Panjura was realistic(if a bit boring) and quite nice from a gameplay standpoint but cant really work with aquatics and fliers. Conversely Gondwa is extremely beautiful but lacks any sense of realism on top of being very bad for gameplay and growth.
Back when I started playing PoT a number of years ago, I was disappointed by the simultaneous lack of content and updates the game had. The devs have slowly been ramping up both, and I'm very pleased to see that. Really looking forward to see these updates finally put into place, it's about time!
I’m just waiting for nesting… combat action is fun but it gets extremely boring when you’ve already grown big and are skilled in everything you basically sit around eat drink and chat maybe fight. I want survival elements to get some love! I even hope the AI additions will give the game more realism too, we could see functioning AI herds? Maybe predator packs? Or a duel pair of Rex AI?
I have a personal theory that they're waiting for nesting once they get almost all their playables in since they could tie that into part of the questing system and all the different eggs and nests would be ready. They already have some nests and eggs done so I honestly think they're gonna try to add it in later since they still have playables left to add.
The quest overhaul is essential and I'm glad they're taking it seriously. I'm not a fan of the idea of NPC questgiver dino's being added because nothing makes me feel less like an actual Dino than walking up to another Dino, having some level of communication with it that doesn't reflect a Dino. I do not want to walk up to "Mr John T Rex" and have a lengthy conversation about how he needs me to collect acorns for him. I think stuff along the lines of finding injured NPC's and being presented the opportunity to bring them their food source would be far more enjoyable. Keep it themed appropriately. Keep it congruent with the existing feel of the game. Cause in my experience as a new player, these dino/animal survival games are amazing but highly dependent on feel. What contributes to feel? Content and community are two things that really stick out to me as lacking in PoT. Questing is boring as shit and the community wants to turn every lobby into some odd party game where people log onto T Rex's to protect their Kent buddy that just got the game. Stuff like that is so immensely frustrating.
Same I think it would be really weird hope they do it right and hope they also add ai creatures that just walking around and maybe even attack smaller dinos and babys
I like the idea of npc dinosaurs that will allow you to travel with them as a group and will provide players a choice, play with the same species, or the ai dinosaurs will be against you too

@@anthonycastillo524allo isn’t underpowered at all, but it does at least need a tlc update, in terms of power tho allo is fine, people can literally just do full defense plus traction and they solo MANY creatures, I dont think allo is THAT bad rn, I think people are just jealous because it doesn’t have any shiny new meta abilities.
Tbh allo needs a tlc and maybe some unique stuff but thats it, its not underpowered at all. People have literally made videos showing a full defense traction build allo and soloing 90% of the roster.
I just dont want them to completely get rid of the regular quests, i know these are meant to be a placeholder but theyre fairly easy and ive leanred many of the spots to go to get items. I just dont want a ton of long complex tasks. Some areas especially i just wanna get my quests done and get out. Like areas with almost no water.
Related to the questing revamp and other things in that category. I really hope that they keep the minimal death penalties. Part of the reason I love pot is the death penalties. Not loosing much on death is nice because it encourages a more interactive play style, personally I feel like I can be more active and make more risky plays and explore. Part of the reason the isle remains as a bush camper is because no one wants to loose their Dino they spent 10 hours on in 10 minutes. Path of titans minimal death penalties rectifies this and makes the game overall more enjoyable.

Will they make GUI scalable and editable. Like if you don't want a huge HP bar you can scale it or you don't want a mini map you can uncheck it. A lot of old school MMORPGs had mods where you could edit your GUI. Oh and if you have favorite servers you can give them a star but you can't filter on them or maybe I doing something wrong.

Let me explain, but it sounds like once your Dinosaur has fully grown there won’t be any new Quests/AI Questgivers for the Player to interact with. Personally, I think that’s a bad idea, I think it would be much better if there was new Quests available once your Dinosaur is fully grown that not only can be unique to the Adult Life Stage of your Dinosaur but also abilities that you might have unlocked at that Life Stage. Maybe instead of experience you can get Marks, or new Quests can be unlocked if you equip a specific Skill for that Life Stage e.g if my Dinosaur is a adult and I equip a new skill a new Quest might open because not only is my Dinosaur a adult but also because I equipped a Skill that only unlocks at the Adult Life Stage for Dinosaurs. Because to me it sounds like once my Dinosaur has fully grown there is no reason for me interact with any Dinosaur Questgivers I see in the World, because I won’t need the experience they give because my Dinosaur is already an Adult. That’s it, I’m sorry if my comment sounds rude and I hope it made sense, to whoever’s reading.

If PoT is being compared to the isle, surely it's to show off how superior PoT is lol. Path has everything the isle has and more. Combat abilities, subspecies, fully aquatics, etc. The devs suck too.. Dondi has literally been caught trying to sabotage both PoT and Beast of Bermuda. No wonder why the isle team screwed each other over; hence the recode

I feel like the quest-givers won't be proper/true AI and will just be stationary NPCs that you just talk to (kinda like the characters in Destiny 2's patrol zones). The upside if that IS the case is it'll make adding them in super easy and thus less wait-time. Bad thing it they will basically just be scenery you can't interact with otherwise. But hopefully when they finally finish up proper roaming AI dinos some of them can/will also be quest-givers.
Hoping theos update turns out well, I am eager to jump on board. IMO, I hope the spawn rates for npc dinos are similar in some respects to the dragoms dogma serie's enemy/creature spawn rates. Here's to hoping Dino bros!

I know nobody will see this but, I really really wish they did something to cater to their solo players. I’m aware that of course playing solo in a PvP survival game is just inevitably a disadvantage but it just feels very much less enjoyable for me and I plan on staying a solo player. Maybe in the quest overhaul they could incorporate things that give solo players an edge or at least more fun options that parties don’t like they did with senses so it’s balanced in that you could choose to lean towards either party advantaged combat or solo advantaged leveling

I agree. I solo. I have an intense job and I don’t want interact cause of the drama sometimes. I love chilling and just trying to survive. I almost never die. Grown most without dying once. I really wish there was a way to waystone yourself. A reward or a way to buy this. I’d love more attention to solo players there’s a unique challenge playing this way.

I’ve grown almost all on both maps. I grew bars, iggy, allo, most my second time through without dying once playing solo. I sure wish I’d get some reward for this cause it is very challenging to do!
I have been playing for a week now, and the toxicity of players has drove me away. Every time I encounter someone they fight me, then 4 more people come to THEIR aid every single time. Needless to say I’ll be returning to the isle, it is much better than this dumpster fire, and it has lots of problems itself.
I really hope that when Trophies unlock on PS5, that they will automatically be completed for ones I’ve already technically gotten. Got over 600 hours on the game and I’m going to be extremely frustrated if I have to re-get the Trophies I’ve basically completed.
That have to and need to give mobile HD graphic’s because ik most of us won’t be playing the mobile version if it doesn’t get HD graphics because it’s the only big mobile game that doesn’t have it yet
they should do a proximity debuff .. and manual hunt/kill input . to counter mega packing. only can pack with same species. or you get uncomfy debuff. and make it to where only members of the pack can hunt 1 player. reduce pack limits depending on species . all players otherwise invincible unless kill for same diet input made or hunt for different diet input made for PVP initiation(doesnt alert other player so ambushes still possible) make territorys claimable by packs and make it less to where solo players have to rely on global chat
What can we expect for end game players, who have every Dino grown on both official maps? Wonder what we will have to do on officials, besides the new game modes.
They should have the A.I. dino's be a species you cant play as to ad more variety and they should have a big apex A.i. randomly roaming the map like a boss character that could give off emotes or "loot" if killed it could be something like a giga for carn n titanasaur for herb with buffed hp n dmg so it would take a bunch of people having to work together to bring it down.
I say they should get rid of the marks and for the quest you have to do a certain type of quest to unlock a new Ability and skins to make it more fun and less boring
Hey Velocci!! Not sure if you remember me, but, I know I said I quit a while back, well…. I got it back but on Xbox 👀 it is very hard to type on Xbox with just a controller, but it runs fairly smooth so long as you aren’t in like a hotspot like crater or gp, nonetheless, I hope that the game keeps getting updates but for the better, official pot servers aren’t as fun anymore because people will take over servers but community servers are SO MUCH FUN! Especially if you find a group! I really really hope they continue to improve the game for everyone because some of these updates could even fix certain issues in play, and I cannot wait to see what they have hidden up their sleeves!
I hope that the stats don’t restart from scratch because it is incredibly discouraging when your number of kills for example resets to zero even tho you had more.
With the metrics I really hope they're gonna add kills overall and adult/sub-adult kills and not just kills, because I feel like many people will try to boost their kills by killing juvies T.T
I just hope they can bring better sounds to the game. The footsteps and sound calls are so unbalanced. It completely ruins it for me. And bring a better element of FEAR to nighttime gameplay. Level design and player variety is on point but running, fighting animations & sound all suck in my opinion.

Just tried out the new stuff on The Isle last night, gotta say, it sucked, Kinda makes me not wanna play dino games now lol. I cannot wait for these POT updates. It is finally adding the stuff it has been missing for to long!
This game need A.I/NPC Dinos to keep the game lively. Its so empty even if you are playing Multiplayer or single player. This needs to be explored because i really do think this is whats gonna make the game pop off. Because not everybody wants to play in PVP and deal with that crap. This needs to thrive

Ill be honest, the devs saying we will get new skins and new emotes means absolutely nothing to me. If Im going to earn more marks or something. Give me mutations I can control or alter, Give me something I can pass onto any eggs that are hatched from me otherwise whats the point.

My honest opinion apart from A.I dinosaur's and npc quest giver dinos to make this game really more interesting it's been done with the Isle and Ark survival evolved has this to with Ascended is that Path of Titans bring humans into the game and a new class called Omnivores And the humans be like caveman and Women
What are people’s thought on the AOE attacks? I’ve been running into quite a lot of people who really seem to be hating AOE attacks in this game. Some said they hope they remove the AOE aspect but I don’t see that happening. However I personally can’t stand AOE, for me it killed a lot of the skill aspect to the game.
I think it depends on the creature, stomps having an aoe is fine as long as its not as bad as the edmonto mod’s stomp, that stuff is ridiculous. Ano imo should have an aoe but WAY SMALLER than it is rn, anos aoe rn is huge and apexes cant even fight it if its good because it always hits them back. If you wanna see edmontos insane aoe I have a video on it lol the most recent one

Quest reworks, metrics and achievements, and new skins are definitely gonna improve PoT tenfold

I hope at least some of the collection quests stay. I find them relaxing for when I want to chill.

Maybe in the quest overhaul they could incorporate things that give solo players an edge or at least more fun options that parties don’t like they did with senses so it’s balanced in that you could choose to lean towards either party advantaged combat or solo advantaged leveling
Dont worry lol I saw your comment, I agree 100% as a solo player myself, its super annoying traveling across a dead map to get to the big water hole that everyone sits at just to be jumped by EVERYONE there because your existence offends them for who knows what reason

I agree. I solo. I have an intense job and I don’t want interact cause of the drama sometimes. I love chilling and just trying to survive. I almost never die. Grown most without dying once. I really wish there was a way to waystone yourself. A reward or a way to buy this. I’d love more attention to solo players there’s a unique challenge playing this way.

I’ve grown almost all on both maps. I grew bars, iggy, allo, most my second time through without dying once playing solo. I sure wish I’d get some reward for this cause it is very challenging to do!
I have been playing for a week now, and the toxicity of players has drove me away. Every time I encounter someone they fight me, then 4 more people come to THEIR aid every single time. Needless to say I’ll be returning to the isle, it is much better than this dumpster fire, and it has lots of problems itself.

I really hope that when Trophies unlock on PS5, that they will automatically be completed for ones I’ve already technically gotten. Got over 600 hours on the game and I’m going to be extremely frustrated if I have to re-get the Trophies I’ve basically completed.

they should do a proximity debuff .. and manual hunt/kill input . to counter mega packing. only can pack with same species. or you get uncomfy debuff. and make it to where only members of the pack can hunt 1 player. reduce pack limits depending on species . all players otherwise invincible unless kill for same diet input made or hunt for different diet input made for PVP initiation(doesnt alert other player so ambushes still possible) make territorys claimable by packs and make it less to where solo players have to rely on global chat
Maybe killing something in a specific area would be cool and also get people around the maps, make it super rewarding. Trophies aren't always enough.

I'm glad they're finally revamping the questing system, because it's so so poor right now 😂 I speak as someone who overall loves the game.
They should have the A.I. dino's be a species you cant play as to ad more variety and they should have a big apex A.i. randomly roaming the map like a boss character that could give off emotes or "loot" if killed it could be something like a giga for carn n titanasaur for herb with buffed hp n dmg so it would take a bunch of people having to work together to bring it down.
I feel maybe they should have different quests for different species along with generalizing some for carnivores and herbivores
they better have it like if you complete a quest on one server or smth you keep the emote/skin for aalll servers
I say they should get rid of the marks and for the quest you have to do a certain type of quest to unlock a new Ability and skins to make it more fun and less boring

Hey Velocci!! Not sure if you remember me, but, I know I said I quit a while back, well…. I got it back but on Xbox 👀 it is very hard to type on Xbox with just a controller, but it runs fairly smooth so long as you aren’t in like a hotspot like crater or gp, nonetheless, I hope that the game keeps getting updates but for the better, official pot servers aren’t as fun anymore because people will take over servers but community servers are SO MUCH FUN! Especially if you find a group! I really really hope they continue to improve the game for everyone because some of these updates could even fix certain issues in play, and I cannot wait to see what they have hidden up their sleeves!

I just hope they can bring better sounds to the game. The footsteps and sound calls are so unbalanced. It completely ruins it for me. And bring a better element of FEAR to nighttime gameplay. Level design and player variety is on point but running, fighting animations & sound all suck in my opinion.

This game need A.I/NPC Dinos to keep the game lively. Its so empty even if you are playing Multiplayer or single player. This needs to be explored because i really do think this is whats gonna make the game pop off. Because not everybody wants to play in PVP and deal with that crap. This needs to thrive

Ill be honest, the devs saying we will get new skins and new emotes means absolutely nothing to me. If Im going to earn more marks or something. Give me mutations I can control or alter, Give me something I can pass onto any eggs that are hatched from me otherwise whats the point.

My honest opinion apart from A.I dinosaur's and npc quest giver dinos to make this game really more interesting it's been done with the Isle and Ark survival evolved has this to with Ascended is that Path of Titans bring humans into the game and a new class called Omnivores

What are people’s thought on the AOE attacks? I’ve been running into quite a lot of people who really seem to be hating AOE attacks in this game. Some said they hope they remove the AOE aspect but I don’t see that happening. However I personally can’t stand AOE, for me it killed a lot of the skill aspect to the game.
I think it depends on the creature, stomps having an aoe is fine as long as its not as bad as the edmonto mod’s stomp, that stuff is ridiculous. Ano imo should have an aoe but WAY SMALLER than it is rn, anos aoe rn is huge and apexes cant even fight it if its good because it always hits them back. If you wanna see edmontos insane aoe I have a video on it lol the most recent one
if the rewards are for the home cave its completely useless. ive never gone into someone elses home cave and ive never inv anyone to mine.
Imagine if they added items for rewards, items for your character like little hats and such
