I have used this same system in my purse for years now. Love it. People are always shocked when I can reach in my purse without looking and pull out what I need right away without looking. My sister was surprised the first time she went into my purse to get something. She then handed me her purse and told me to help her organize it LOL!

Great ideas! I'm a nurse and am extremely organized but I think u got my purse beat! I'm so glad to see u have individually packaged meds, because most people store loose pills in their purses which happens to be illegal and u can get in real trouble wit ur meds not being in original containers. OMG the outgoing pouch is a genius idea!!!! I always have receipts crammed all over in my purse and most of the time I need them for CO51 and SS! I am going to get me one of these! Thank you. New follower.

I was about to use an old medication bottle like how DoItOnADime did in one of her videos, but I realized that that your way would be better since it would be flat, and space is of the essence :D

This video could not have come out at a more perfect time. My purse is a disaster. I have one of those purse organizer inserts you spoke of, but I don't love it. My first mistake was ordering the black one. So many purses are black on the inside. When I was fumbling for things in my purse in the car,it was hard to see what was in the little pockets around the edges. The pockets are small and my fingers are not so grabbing something wedged in there was a challenge. The pouch system seems better to me because they are clear and you can see everything. As soon as I can, I am going to reorganize my purse to use this system instead. You may have just saved my purse sanity.

Magnificent! I can see that you and I have very similar ideas when it comes to purse organization. I like to use the kids toothbrush clear pouches that you find at DT, to organize my purse as well. Good idea. There have been several purses/handbags that I didn't purchase because they didn't have storage or dividers and everything would fall into a deep dark hole. I'm subscribing!.
if you ever did want to switch to an insert organizer, I got mine on ebay for $3! I love it and its sturdy, but I love system you showed in this video. :)
oh and I've seen someone else, in their video that took an old medicine bottle, like Tylenol, etc.. anyway she took off the medicine wrapper and decorated it a little bit with some cute strips of duck tape.. and that was her "PURSE TRASH CAN" :) she used for gum wrappers, straw wrappers, old receipts, etc... very good idea.. I've thought about doing that, I just gotta stick with it lol and actually USE IT! LOL also your going out folder is cool.. for things that aren't trash, just need to be changed out
I love your organization system. I also carry a lot of the same stuff like medicine, hand sanitizer, perfume, lotion, and receipts. I can tell you like to plan and be prepared for everything too. LOL
I love this video Clara! I have a huge problem with keeping up with stuff in my purse. I would guess feminine products would go in a separate little bag. I definitely will be picking up those little clear folders to help me organize some.

LOVE your video!! and the idea!! love the flatness of the pouches, and $1.00!! AWESOME I've been trying the whole different bags for different things, inside my purse... I have always done that with certain things, like lipstick/gloss etc.. but after watching diff. videos on here, I've been basically bagging everything... lol in diff. combos/subjects.. like one for meds... one for pens, stationary, etc... BUT problem is, the bags get kind of bulky and even tho I normally know which bag is for what, it's still not as fun, (to ME, LOL) to be able to look down and see my things neatly in pouches.. didn't really realize how much I'd like that, until seeing this!! lol anyway... My purse is always a disaster but now it doesn't have to be! I am very surprised you don't have the Mickey Mouse tin full of Qtips from DT! I carry one in my purse.

Beautiful. Can you talk more about your system. For example, after paying for something, do you immediately file the receipt or do so in the car. If you get out your lipgloss, do you put it back in the same place right away or throw it in your purse and organize daily? Because for me, my purse starts organized then always ends up a big mess!
I'm not Clara, but I suspect the answer would be that you should put those items in their proper place right away. Most of the organizational videos I've watched have stressed the importance of putting stuff away in its proper place immediately. Of course, I'm not one of those really organized people (yet), so my purse is a big mess most of the time too!!
esperd Hi! To be honest with you, I keep the 'outgoing' pouch with the flap unsnapped and tucked in most of the time, so that it's open and even more accessible. Because all of those items fit fairly snugly in my purse, I don't worry about stuff falling out unless the pouch gets too full. When I'm paying at the store register, I wear my bag on my shoulder, and the outgoing pouch stays at the far end of my purse, furthest away from my body, so I can see it and access it the easiest. As soon as a receipt pops out or is given to me, I immediately put it in the outgoing pouch OR in the shopping bag if I know for sure that I won't need it for filing/returning items later. Then, when I get home and empty the bag, it immediately goes in the trash. Let me know what you think, or if perhaps there may be a different way; I love hearing what works for others! tfw! ♥ Clara ♥

Look at 1:34, you can just about see it then. I have done my purse (handbag!) in a similar way. The trick is to keep all pouches vertical so that you can get to everything easily.
I don’t think they sell these at the dollar store anymore 😭 I looked the other day because Kathryn with Do it on a Dime organizes her car glove box with these and I thought that was great. I do the compartment thing with clear zipper pouches though. But the envelopes are cuter!!

Hi Judy! I'm sure there is an equivalent at an office supply store (or maybe Target). But, keep an eye out around January 1st at Dollar Tree - that is when a LOT LOT LOT of organizational stuff comes out every year, including for office organization. It's my favorite time of the year at Dollar Tree, haha! :)

I looked at everything with an eye for "how else can I use this?" I keep getting ideas as I go around our house. Your passion for Dollar Tree organizing is less caloric than mine--mine is baking breads and cakes, LOL! Looking forward to more videos. I wish you had a more descriptive title on each one, though. Beautiful. Can you talk more about your system. For example, after paying for something, do you immediately file the receipt or do so in the car. If you get out your lipgloss, do you put it back in the same place right away or throw it in your purse and organize daily? Because for me, my purse starts organized then always ends up a big mess!
I'm not Clara, but I suspect the answer would be that you should put those items in their proper place right away.
Most of the organizational videos I've watched have stressed the importance of putting stuff away in its proper place immediately.
Of course, I'm not one of those really organized people (yet), so my purse is a big mess most of the time too!!
Yes, that's the rule of thumb for life. But looking for more of a process/routine type of thing.
esperd Hi! To be honest with you, I keep the 'outgoing' pouch with the flap unsnapped and tucked in most of the time, so that it's open and even more accessible. Because all of those items fit fairly snugly in my purse, I don't worry about stuff falling out unless the pouch gets too full. When I'm paying at the store register, I wear my bag on my shoulder, and the outgoing pouch stays at the far end of my purse, furthest away from my body, so I can see it and access it the easiest. As soon as a receipt pops out or is given to me, I immediately put it in the outgoing pouch OR in the shopping bag if I know for sure that I won't need it for filing/returning items later. Then, when I get home and empty the bag, it immediately goes in the trash. Let me know what you think, or if perhaps there may be a different way; I love hearing what works for others! tfw! ♥ Clara ♥

Look at 1:34, you can just about see it then. I have done my purse (handbag!) in a similar way. The trick is to keep all pouches vertical so that you can get to everything easily.

I don’t think they sell these at the dollar store anymore 😭 I looked the other day because Kathryn with Do it on a Dime organizes her car glove box with these and I thought that was great. I do the compartment thing with clear zipper pouches though. But the envelopes are cuter!!

Where in your Dollar Tree did you find the clear pouches?
I saw them in the stationery aisle...with the folders and binder tabs, etc. Near the pens and pencils.

12/2016--I went to my Dollar Tree for the plastic envelopes, and they don't have them. Are they currently in another store?
Hi Judy! I'm sure there is an equivalent at an office supply store (or maybe Target). But, keep an eye out around January 1st at Dollar Tree - that is when a LOT LOT LOT of organizational stuff comes out every year, including for office organization. It's my favorite time of the year at Dollar Tree, haha! :)

After your videos, I spent a long time going up and down the isles of the store. I looked at everything with an eye for "how else can I use this?" I keep getting ideas as I go around our house.
Your passion for Dollar Tree organizing is less caloric than mine--mine is baking breads and cakes, LOL!
Looking forward to more videos. I wish you had a more descriptive title on each one, though. It's hard to tell what's in each video from the title.
