Yeah these old machines are wallet burners. Keep at it!
I also probably have too much money and time in this machine but like you ,I like the old style non-computerized equipment.
Yeah, the 90% mechanical aspect is certainly rare these days, only electrics are pressure and heat sensors really.

Thinks for the videos. I have a 843 also and bought it with a bad engine. The engine is the 4jb1 that is expensive and hard to come by too.
In conclusion... not every machine can be saved. The design of these machines seem to negate major repairs.
You're telling me, they pretty much ditched the engine in them in this configuration after the next series. The Control Valve is in literally the dumbest place ever. You look at a new Takeuchi and even Chinese machines, all the valve block and bodies sit at eye level in the rear and can be accessed without bending over. This ones buried in literally the most inconvenient spot ever imaginable.
I looked for a engine for a long time and got lucky and found a turbo model of that engine locally for around $3000. I am now trying to move stuff around in the engine compartment so everything will fit with the turbo. I also am trying to find and fix the hydraulic leaks while the engine is out. It looks like so far most of the leaks are the suction hoses with the regular hose clamps. Somebody must have not tightened them up very good years ago.
I understand a engine out of a Isuzu trooper will work. Mine is a Isuzu fire damage.
@ I could not find a trooper with a Diesel engine anywhere around . Everything I could find was the V6 gas. I live in the US and I don’t think there were very many of them here. I did end up getting my 843 to work with the turbo Engine. It has a lot of power and works great
They are pricing proprietary parts so high,making restoration unprofitable. All of them
Yeah, I definitely didn't make any money on this rig. LOL . A rotating group for one of the CESNA piston pumps is $800+.. Anything goes wrong with the pumps it's pretty much a salvage unit.
