Thanks for watching!
Very nice and fun to watch! I used to live near a Saori weaving workplace in Japan. They made all sorts of things, clothes, bags, pouches, pencil cases, rugs and more. I am still using the small fish-shaped keychain I bought there. Simple and beautiful stuffs.
Pretty!
Beautiful piece
Wow - gorgeous piece!!
Beautiful
Thank you
Very nice job 👍
So what did the material become? A suit? Mixed media pictures?
Enough for a gilet, the spare off cuts made lavender bags, pouches/purses.
By collecting all my woven cloth over the years I have a lovely array of unique fabric to stitch with. Even the smallest piece can make a pocket or mug rug etc
Best wishes Sue
What is the trick of getting a 30m long warp fabric in between the breast beam and warp roller? My SAORI loom doesn’t hold that thickness of cloth.
Unwind the woven cloth on your cloth beam, make sure you have the cloth BEHIND the clipping rod.
Then start winding the cloth beam again and continue with your weaving. The spare woven cloth will remain tucked under the loom (you can move it to the side or on your knees to keep you warm). Continue to weave and repeat this action as your weaving grows too tight on the beam again.
Hope that helps Best Wishes Sue
