Wonderful and very fascinating exhibit of or from different countries of their new innovative products of weapons or armament., Its like a shopping malls of weapons free for all that customers can choose freelly of what they need for their country's armed forces & defense requirements. It also signalled for the end of monopoly or binopoly or trinomoly of arms business of US, Russia, & main or major western European manufacturers like Britain,France & Germany!, where they can dictate and imposed restrictions to their customer or client countries many conditionalities and that in some instances happened violated their independence or soveriegnty as a nation.
W0W x3!, what marked improvement of the Oplot's "fire-control", stability of the entire vehicle during the firing of the main gun was utterly impressive, equalling those of only the USs' Abrams. In all likelihood, that was probably how this eastern designed MBT (known to have rather poor gun stability when projectile exits, thus translating to a much high degree of inaccuracy) managed to attain this coveted capability. Only with "let-in" on such valuable strategic technical 'know-how' input, can this fighting vehicle now be able to be as impressive as those of the Abrams. I suppose now Russia has evn more to worry about than a while back. Russia has only itself to blame in all of this & it is'nt evn bcoz of her unrelenting support for peoples that run with the same bloodline to them, that had resided in that part from since time in memry, what happens to be the eastern reaches of Ukraine. It had been for so long, nevr had there been any problem, whatsoever, what pertains to ethnicity relations there & all lived cohesively with 1 another regardless. Up until certain quarters who had ulterior designs in mind, put them in direct collision course by playing-up to the country's, what was an incredibly small extreme far-right-ultra minorities & as well certain disgruntled figures of certain Jewish heritage's tune of patriotism & ethnic hate schemes, respectively. Why so Russia has itself to blame?, that's coz how long has it been, since U delved in the manufacturing of tanks & why was there no continuing efforts to resolve the mentioned shortcoming ? Had U pressed-on to solve this set-back, I'm sure by now U wud've stood neck to neck to the west in tank accuracy. Yes x2, Russia may've fast & agile MBTs, but as they say, "at the end of the day" they're but still just tracked vehicles after all, how much more faster or maneuverable do U expect them to anymore attain ? That's about as fast as any MBT can get. One just simply cannot outrun any an enemy combatant's target designate azimuth slave with his ATGW. Unless someone manages to discover a way to so-call "phase shift" an object (like the hoax : 'Philadelphia Experiment' (phoney) incident) to God knows where & reappearing it entirely at a whole different (co-ordinate) position, like in fiction. Only when such is made possible, then can battle-tank operators probably stand a fairer chance at levelling the playing field a little against ATGW onslaughts. Try giving those some thought.
Thailand did indeed made very good choice in procuring both the Ukrainian Oplot & China(ese) VT-5 or 4 ?? (not sure). These 2 examples are at least, if anything way better than the rumored over-priced 2nd hand crap we somehow chose from Poland, to wic that country itself rather instead chose to purchase from Germany their surplus MBTs of renown, the Leopard 2, wic both Singapore & Indonesia wisely chose.
We actually want to buy more Oplot but Ukraine cannot build due to war. VT-4 is maybe not the best tank but China promise to teach us how to fix(or even build if needed) it which is big plus. Chinese tank doesn't have a good reputation in Thai army because Type 69-II broken down after a few years and cannot be fix.
Actually,PT-91M Pendekar is not a second hand product. Granted, the acquisition price is pretty high due to upgrades which make Malaysian PT-91 even better than the Polish one. Besides,Polish Army still using PT-91 together with Leopard 2.
