Nascar is definitely one of the only sports where I can actually support tempers flaring. When you're driving at 200 mph, you're definitely allowed to have a go at the guy who almost made you crash face-first into a wall
What about the guy who DID put you face first in to the wall AFTER it’s over. Oh man, I’d be hot too. The 2nd clip he had every right to be pissed off. Still dumb as hell to punch someone on the head wearing a modern crash helmet though h😂😂
I just DIED when y’all stopped It during Clint’s interview and I realized y’all had no clue and how It sounded. I’m laughing so hard! Growing up with It you get so used to the lingo. You never even think of It from an outside perspective. Dying 😂😂😂
Just to fill them in on what Clint was saying when he said "four" or "two", he's talking corners. On a typical "nascar" style track, you have 4 corners and a "dog leg" to make the D shape. The dog leg is never counted as a "corner", so 4 corners. Corner 1 is the first half the the whole corner, and corner 2 is the 2nd half. Then you get the back straightaway, then the first half of the 2nd whole corner is "3" and the last half is "4" so "Coming off of 4" means as they exited the last half the the 2nd whole corner coming to the checkered flag. Hope this helps understand the lingo.
In the first clip with the car running into the back of the other, the front car was braking normally. The car in 2nd purposely didn't brake enough so he could reach the car in front. He drove into the back of the front car to "move him up on the track". It's also called a "bump and run". You bump into them on the back of the car, get their car loose, get it moved up the track, and then you better run like hell because they'll be coming for you. Honestly, that was considered a clean-ish move since he didn't wreck the car in front of him (a lot of times, that can spin the car out completely in front of them). Logano, though, is really disliked by most people (and he deserves the hate).
14:17 Dave is talking about Danica Patrick who had some success in Indycar but was awful in NASCAR. I think Daz is talking about Sabine Schmitz who was a famous endurance racer that died last year.
Dave yes he slowed down going into the corner as they all do and even more so on a short track. Problem was Logano didn't brake on time and rammed Truex.
This year's car is completely new and can take more contact which has resulted in even more people running into each other with less worry about knocking themselves out of the race. It's been an entertaining year from that aspect.
In Nascar there is driver etiquette on whats clean racing vs what is considered dirty. In the first clip, Truex (#78) and Logano (#22) had a hard clean battle for the lead. Truex won the battle and Logano knew he would only win by moving him out of the way, which is a dirty move (but it happens all the time at short tracks). The track they were at is a heavy braking corner, so the fate of the race is really up to the second place driver if they are close. If the driver has class they won't ram the leader out of the way. Other notorious dirty drivers like Logano will ram the leader out of the way and do anything to win. The leader really can't do anything to protect themselves as if they under-drive the corner to protect the bottom they are vulnerable to getting ramned out of the way or they can overdrive the corner to avoid being hit, but Logano probably would have passed him on the bottom. Side note: Logano won the title that year, he won "battle" and won the damn "war" lol
Dick Trickle is my favorite driver's name and I believe you were referring to Janet Guthrie. She was a great driver and at 85 she is still alive and kicking.
Hailey Deegan is who I think you're talking about... her dad is Brian Deegan, head of Metal Mulisha and was one of the first people to backflip a dirt bike. Then, her brother is about to be a pro dirt bike rider in the 250cc class
Fun fact: NACAR invented the Put maneuver. Police agencies actually learned many techniques like the Pit from Nascar. Most Drivers are not cops and usually start racing from early ages.
The best fight I ever seen in NASCAR was at the 1979 Daytona 500 the Allison brothers and Cale Yarborough's fight they were running 1 and 2 took each other out allowing Richard Petty who was back like 20 seconds behind in 3 and took the win
Nascar drivers sometimes can lose over 25 pounds during the race cuz they gotta drive for like 3 to 4 hours in a car that's like 140 degrees inside that car
Nascar is one of the only sports that can actually demonstrate true equality amongst men and women because it's cars, not physical advantages or athleticism
I don't go out of my way to follow NASCAR but I've had tickets to a race a few times and man it is a freaking heck of an experience. Drama makes it fun as well.
My dads the nascar fan but I've gotten into it a bit because of him and YT videos such as this. Been to a few races and while it can drag on... especially in blaring sun on bleachers, the race itself can be exhilarating. Just the sound of the cars passing by gets you hyped.
I love NASCAR for this stuff. Rivalries are one of the best things about NASCAR, the way it's allowed to play out. I'm 32, and I've been watching NASCAR since I was 5, every weekend. I don't miss one. They don't just race ovals so much anymore. This year has 5 Road Course events and next year will have 6, and that's unfortunately without Road America, which was about a month ago. If u have any interest in getting into racing with some drama, NASCAR is the one for you. I have also been a fan of F1 and others for nearly as long, so I'm not trying to be a fanboy, NASCAR is just the good time motorsport, where they just go hard.
This video had no rights to be as hilarious as it was. Who would of known listening to some Nascar drivers talk would sound like some late night bedroom shenanigans, lol
The move in the first clip is known as a "Bump and Run" as the driver in front slow to take a turn you come up and tap them from behind and if done right you you can force the car in front in to be more loose or tight that way you can move them out the way and drive by them, a lot of drivers do see it as a bit of a dirty move but only when its done to them 😅
As a regular viewer of your channel who is excited to see nascar on here please please please please react to a few NASCAR Radioactive clips. They do it each week. It’s a recap of the race from the driver/spotter/crew chief perspective with their team audio.
Danica Patrick was the other female in NASCAR. The female driver who died recently was Sabine Schmitz, the Queen of the Ring. You owe it to yourselves to check out some of the videos of her driving. She was a phenom!
There is video on youtube called the unwritten rules of nascar. I think thats the name, it talks about knowing the right contact vs the wrong contact. When its okay to wreck someone when its not, there is etiquette to it
The first clip was all on the 22 you have to brake pretty hard to make the turn and thats how he races to this day. The 78 raced so clean and got played dirty in the final corner
"do any ex cops go into NASCAR?" Are you daft? Lmao NASCAR is the highest level of stock car racing in North America. All the drivers there grew up racing and did pretty much nothing apart from it to get to the highest level. You couldn't choose one career and then think "you know I might give this NASCAR thing a shot" lol
When you talk about the Ford F-150 at @16:40, the NASCAR version has nothing in common with the production car. NASCAR cars have a shell that's painted to look like a production car, but underneath it's all a special racing chassis, and with special racing engines too. Another example is that there are Toyota NASCARs painted to look like the Camry, but the normal everyday Camry is front wheel drive, though all NASCARs are rear wheel drive.
Hi Guys... Danica is not dead... lol :-) She is a very successful business woman and entrepreneur these days. Also, there is a woman's pro hockey league but they wear cages. They do get to some punches thrown now and again, but not too often. BTW... keep your eye out for a new up and coming female driver who currently is in the truck series... Hailey Deegan.
Notice in the second clip the guy with helmet on (clint bowyer #14) ran like a little girl when (Ryan Newman #6) was getting out of his car without his helmet on...because Newman would have kicked his ass.
If you wanna see the more emotional side to NASCAR you should absolutely react to "The day" it's a 5 part video (but each part is on the shorter side) about Dale Earnhardt Sr It's an incredibly bittersweet moment. Highly recommend
The Tampa Bay Lighting signed a female goalie in the early 90’s . She played in 1 preseason game . They signed her when the team just joined the league so it was probably to get fans in the seats.
To clear up the first video... Truex Jr was leading the race and close to winning. Joey Lagano (who has a history of being a dirty driver) is in second. Lagano bumps into the back of Tried Jr. Car...causing him to lose control and go high up the track. Lagano uses that maneuver to get past Truex. Lagano used a dirty trick/move to get around. It's like gentleman rules. You don't bump the other cars. You find ways around with out contact. So next race Truex might go after Lagano during the race and give him a tap on response. Eye for an eye.
In any racing as far as I know, if you have the clean line, it's your track if you hit the brakes somebody has to stop behind you just like on the streets The only reason the lead NASCAR driver hit the brakes is he was going into the corner.. do you not slow down for a left-hand turn?
Yes the number is the turn not the corner cuz there are 2 corners and that makes it 4 turns cuz first corner has turn 1 then the middle then turn 2 and after backstretch u come to second corner and u enter turn 3 then the middle of the corner and then u hit turn 4. So turn 1 is the beginning of the first corner and turn 2 is the end of first corner and same for second corner with turn 3 and turn 4 and both corners have a middle part between the turns which is pretty much the most important part of the turns cuz the middle of corner depends how quickly and early u can get off the brake and get back gas throttle cuz if ur car is handling good and is not tight going in turn 1 and not loose coming out of turn 2 that means it's gonna handle pretty good in the middle and u won't have to be on the brake for a long time and can get back on gas earlier and be much faster
Please take a look at the documentary of Nascar Seasons 2001..I think you will find it to be a good piece in understanding the Earnhardt's loss, the countries loss and how a a Nation we pull together
3:50 Did you even listen to the explanation? Your analysis completely misses the part where he said they were racing hard for 6 laps and he hit his rear towards the end of the race because he was losing.....
Yeah, they heard what they wanted to tbh. It's not that hard to just listen smh. He literally explained it all and then their guess was the furthest thing from being right tbh
A lot of drivers in NASCAR will use the car in front of them as a brake on the last lap of the race to win it. As a fan anything goes on the last lap to win a race.
To the cop question, most start out young because it's their childhood dream. Some start as early as 13 training for it. So, no would be the answer I guess.
dude, I'd lose my mind if I raced for that long and a guy screws me over like that, I'd smash his car like an escaped gorilla, could you imagine the composure it takes to not do it? props to them
Tipe NASCAR numbers all turns at tracks and they dont really give them names like in F1 so if you dont know a track layout with the speed some drivers talk at times its hard to know what they are on about 😅
Dave you don't think they have meet & greets before these things or even that the drivers don't know whose who? There's numbers on their cars! They know who the women are lol
It was started bye bootleggers durning probation. The moon shine runners souped up cars. They had a race at Daytona on the beach. To prove who was best. the early winners were moon shine runners.
There actually was female players in Hockey and not too long ago there was that female who was a really good goalie I just can't remember her name and the team she played for.
I saw yall laugh at the extremely stereotypical Nascar name Bubba Wallace. Well what is even more amusing about that is that Bubba Wallce is a black guy, not a bucktooth hillbilly like the rest of them. 😂
Ah Natalie Decker. I'm a fan of her, partially due to the fact that we're from the same state and share the same birthday. Saw her play hockey when we were younger and I sometimes hang out in her Twitch streams. Nice girl, but she gets dunked on regularly because she's a pretty girl that may or may not deserve the place she has in NASCAR because she wrecks all the time. Hope she improves as a driver and matures as a person.
Did he really just say that lmao. Did he really just ask if some nascar drivers are former police officers just cuz the way Bubba Wallece spunout Kyle Bush and he also called it a pitmanover lol that's so funny that's the first time I heard anyone use that term in nascar when one guy spins out the other guy from behind lol. I'ma start using that term now. It's not called bump and run anymore either lol but damn the question about the nascar drivers being cops is so clueless lol

In the words of Jeff Foxworthy "True Nascar fans want an interview with a driver where you have no idea what he's talking about."
I’m a huge NASCAR fan and a huge Office Blokes fan. This reaction video was GOLDEN!

The best female driver was Jeff Gordon
@@ryanc9888 Jokes aside, Michele Mouton is by far the best female driver in motorsport history and I'd take her over any current male driver to boot.
That Audi team is legendary
Yep, I remember her from top gear.
Good days.
Sabine was an angel
Dave yes he slowed down going into the corner as they all do and even more so on a short track. Problem was Logano didn't brake on time and rammed Truex.
Dumped in the 4 means hit in turn 4. Each turn on the track has a number and drivers use those numbers to describe where they are on the track
@@ilikethemthick1105 Says the guy who cares enough to reply. Also they asked at two different points in the video.
@@ilikethemthick1105 and nobody cares for your dumbass comment etheir but here you are just to put your two cent in for nothing
That announcer is Daryl Waltrip. He was one hell of a driver in his day.

Clint Bowyer, the guy who punched Newman through the window, is now the lead analyst for Fox's Nascar races.
I always loved Clint, one of the most entertaining and hilarious guys in NASCAR.

This year's car is completely new and can take more contact which has resulted in even more people running into each other with less worry about knocking themselves out of the race. It's been an entertaining year from that aspect.
It’s been very entertaining, but drivers are saying that these hits hurt a lot more than they used to in older cars, gotta do something about that.
Except since the cars can take more damage meand the driver gets more damage
They are basically racing 190 mph tanks now, I'd love to see them react to Chastains wall ride.
In Nascar there is driver etiquette on whats clean racing vs what is considered dirty. In the first clip, Truex (#78) and Logano (#22) had a hard clean battle for the lead.
“I wonder if any NASCAR drivers are former cops”
One of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
