- www.gobeyondthe... - The University of Oregon’s main campus in Eugene, Oregon is home to 24,000 students, the birthplace of Nike, and the setting for the infamous film, ‘Animal House.’ I entered my freshman year in 2008, and wish I had known the following five things before I arrived.
I was there in 2014 and lived as a freshmen in Bean east outside campus, best experience. Amazing college time.
I’d argue that Eugene isn’t a college town. I go there quite often since my grandparents live there and I’d say the town around the college is fairly supportive of their local uni
Sounds like you never attended the school. I graduated in 1975. Eugene was most definitely a college town. It’s a love I will take with for the rest of my life. You should have been so lucky to attend Oregon. I’m an Oregon Duck forever, and as aNew Yorker, I considered Eugene as my second home.
Bean was also recently remodeled! Not so bad anymore ;)
As a freshman, I was in the first class to live at the newly constructed Bean Hall, in 1965. Back then the freshman dorms were rowdy. Try to live in an upperclass dorm.
I'm going to be living in Bean this year and I think it's awesome. I know a lot of people hate Eugene, but I like it a lot. Don't go to Taylor's! If you do be very careful because there's been a lot of problems with people drugging drinks
All those sketchy things didn’t happen when this article first went up. Back then the doorman “Donny” didn’t allow that kind of sh*t to happen
You could walk into Taylors back in the day with any sorry excuse for an ID no issue and even in the 90's that property firm was crooked
Bean is awesome !! They remodeled it
I have lived in Eugene my entire life. IT IS A COLLEGE TOWN! Growing up here as the 'locals', we are always like "those stupid college student",
Thinking about transferring here. Anyone have any more advice?
Don't do it bro. Where u at now? OSU is better.
Some people love it and some people hate it so you have to do your research and decide for yourself. That being said, I had an absolutely terrible experience there. I would definitely agree that OSU is a better choice.
Stop hating on it, It is their choice
elactix nova - They asked us for advice so we gave it to them.
@@ThePinnacle415would you mind elaborating on what made it horrible for you? I'm looking at both UO and OSU
Y la mejor universidad del mundo
thanks
Came here for a fun and nice video. I left feeling with a cry for help due to my worsening depression after watching this video. (Winky Face) LOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
John Henry's!
I would like to tell everyone taylors is closed
As long as they have virgin pina coladas
Cool video in 2017
I used my Swedish team mate's Oregon license from 1978 to 1981 at Taylor's Bar successfully about 2-3 times a week each and every week to buy large pitchers of beer for all my friends there.... his beard went down to his waist in the photo and he looks just like me without a beard, so I got away with it. I think I was the all time champion! Sorry they have a "soup nazi" of fake IDs there now, so my record run over 3 years will probably stand in the record books...
Actually after Donny left Taylor’s all the minors with fakes flooded back in, & now Taylor’s is closed down because of that.
Y departe del benny puro sur centro 13 eats side trece trece lokos
I wonder how they treat Republicans there.
Violently.
not very well haha
Get farther away from the U of O. All rural and small towns in Oregon are Republican.
