    7:20 Masons in the church. Pastor Croft said he wouldn't confront the Masons because he had only been there 6 months (political reasons) which is the wrong reason not to confront someone. The "Masons" have to take oaths to support Freemasonry above all other interests under penalty of death. If you are bought with the blood of Jesus, then you don't have the authority to make such a vow and the vow is null and void. Also, Masonic doctrines at high levels (above 32nd degree) teach that Lucifer is who they are really worshiping. This pastor may not have been equipped with the proper information to confront them with truth, gentleness and love, but it could have been done with some research and could be done today.

      How do you think the church would have responded, given the contextual picture he painted? Isn’t it more fruitful to preserve his role in order that he could change the culture and shepherd the men long-term rather than call for discipline, isolate himself further, show that he doesn’t understand the culture of the area into which he just moved, and probably lose his job?
