Yes. this model by Bburago. sparked my old flame of collecting 1:18 ferrari models. I got this model 550 Maranello black, last october, and i really liked the details and work puted on this. Since than, i purchased the F50. 250LM / by Bburago, the Enzo, 365 GTS/4 spyder and many others. basically before i had 5 cars in my collection now i have 15. All ferraris ':D .. credit to your channel for detailed reviews. Thanks.

The problem is, the scale 1/24 is made by the new chinese owner, the may cheong group. The 1/18 scale is from the 90's when burago was still an italian group.

Nice vid, nice story...I copped mine in 1998...about $12.50 or 14-15 Euro...Didn't really notice the detail, only opened the engine along with watching your video. Still never took it out off the screws. 1/18 is the way to go !!

If you can't comply with a little scatch, please, please don't use a 'sharpy' to modify your models! Remember that it's better to execute any detail at the right scale. That line on the headlights is so thin on the real model, it was a good choice from burago to ignore it. Same for panel gaps and everything. I'd rather have a detail well executed than have the right detail wrong. For instance if the company goes for enboss lettering, may it goes with what they do best; needeth it to be imbossed or a seperate part, we should not care that much: what matters is execution. For instance they made the wrong decision with the ferrari crest in the back. Should have kept the crest imbossed with a decal only. Instead you get some kind of crappy framed chrome plastic label insert. Even they, do sharpy-like mistakes in attenmpt to "add details".

Hi, I hope your are still interested in getting a new front window for your 550 Maranello ?
    Here my tip:
Write a letter ( looks better then an email) direct to Bburago in Italy. Tell them that your are a Ferrari- Fan that had a mishap.
They will send you a new one.
Why should it work will you ask?
I tried it, had the problem with a broken rear window on my F 40.
Had to wait about 6 weeks and got a new one. Very well packed with the advice CAUTION GLASS!
    Greetings and best wishes !

The 1:24 is the chinese version... the best bburago will always be the italian production one...

In 1/24 they still did some good ones like the F12 Berlinetta. I think that was in 2015 or 2016. Then, 2017 onward, they started sealing the hoods and all 1/24 Ferraris released since then only have opening doors, which is sad.

6:24 the black trim around the headlamps is not accurate to the real car. This model has the correctly modeled headlamps.
