I wanted to highlight to you on your comment that Pharita belting out the high notes looking effortless at the end of the MV is unrealistic, I would refer you to the “Introducing Pharita” video at the 6:47 mark onward. Please note that she’s belting it out during practice without effort at all. I think you even reacted to it.

Just recorded the special stage performance reaction and you right she does just belt it out effortlessly, it's so much better to watch it live! Something still doesn't sit right with me though that such a good part of the song lacks the emotion fitting for it :/ hmm
To be fair to YG, Teddy Park was the Production director. I think YG looks after the business end and Teddy the production. I get this sense after all these years watching Blackpink that Teddy is a perfectionist, He will not release until he is 110% satisfied and the sets are massively expensive flying in entire teams into exotic locations. With Baby Monster YG himself have taken charge and so far all sets are in house studios. Spent more on props and less on hotels and accommodation than Teddy's sets.
Rubbish. These girls trained to be hip hop rap artists. Baby Monster, Batter Up has already smashed the fastest 217 million in kpop debut history ever. They are the very best at what they do. Highly trained, super charged, highly talented. They are best at what they trained for Hip hop rap. Dumb to want them to stick to ballads. More than dumb stupid.
That belt at the end by pharita is nowhere close to her top so it is easy for her to hit it without much effort. If you watch her inteo video you'll see she hits those in her sleep.

I agree, production did drop the ball. What is missing is the girls interaction with each other and they did not match the acting with the vocals.

Teddy was an OG pd but it is a bit disappointing for the in-house sets right now but still visually very well made tho!
