Toyota Yaris / Echo / Vitz : How to replace power window regulator

In this video I will show you step by step how to get to the power window regulator, how to remove it and how to eventually fix it if you have the same issue as I did.
There is no background noise because I translated the original video that I initially made in french.

I think my electric motor for power window is dead (tested switch and it sends electricity to motor) but the glass is in highest position. Is there a way to force it down in order to detach it?

My pleasure ! There are two kinds of mechanisms, one with the automatic function and the other doesn't.

Hi, sorry I don't know the part number. You should find it easily but make sure you take the model for your car because there is a difference between the 2 door and the 4 door version.

So the mechanic I took my 2003 Toyota echo to said that my front passenger side window motor is bad and my window regulator is broken or rusted. Instead of paying a lot of money with the OEM parts can I use parts from the yaris or prius. What about after market kits

Hi, you can use after market parts easily . I dont't know if other toyota models are compatible. Also regulators are different wether you have a 2 or 4 door Echo.
