Great video, I’ve been trying to learn more about the natives of the DFW area where I live , so much of the history has been lost
My great, great, great, great grandfather served as a 2nd Lt. in Captain Bourland's Texas Rangers and was at Village Creek.
Wow! Thank you for sharing 🔥
Thank you for this video. I live in Burleson, near where village creek begins. And after my mindless curiosity led me to following the creek on google maps, I wound up down an internet rabbit hole, so here I am. Thank you Sir.
Well I wouldn’t describe it as your saying it… the Indians where out on a war party raiding and killing settlers in area stealing horses and property… so these rangers went out to hunt and stop them. They didn’t just go out and butcher Indians for the hell of it… you gonna do a documentary tell it right or don’t tell it at all. 😡
That’s not true. The settlers were encroaching on their hunting land so that’s why the raids were happening.
@@historicalindigenoussitesWho did they push out? There’s native history dating back 20K years in Texas. Who did they kill and replace in north Texas? Or is it only a problem when white people do it?
