- Topspeed 299 mit der KTM 1290 Super Duke R im Orignalzustand auf der deutschen Autobahn. Endlich einmal die Kiste ausgefahren :D Ist schon recht ungemütlich bei dieser Geschwindigkeit ohne Windschutz aber trotzdem lohnt es sich das einmal auszuprobieren ;-)

I had no idea the Superduke can go that fast, I thought it wouldn't go beyond 270 or so. It has tons of power and it's a beast of the bike but it's limitation is there is not much wind cover for the rider. Nice to see it goes that fast it's awesome.
The most I pushed mine was up to around 230 km/h and even at that speed it feels like a bunch of gorilla's stomping on my neck. I can't imagine what it's like at 290+ haha 😃
I thought the same first so I had to try :D It is indeed a beast of a bike! And with the other exhaust I have, it sounds WAY better. like 100 times better :))
It is an crazy feeling at that speed with no wind protection but you can handle it if it's not too long when you are as small as me :D
Marc Meier Hi Marc, what it is to make it go to 299 or more? Its max is 270 and cant go beyond. Must be something to changed to reach 299...
My KTM has just original parts on it. Everything is like from factory. Mabye you need to change fuel intake to make it a litte bit faster or you don't have the original sprocket mounted. Or you are bigger than I am. I'm a small and light guy so that helps as well. And you need to make yourself as little as possible. Even I have to do that :):):) Or you can use the "akrapovic map" for your control device. With that, it consumes more fuel and should have more power. Even more with the full akrapovic system on it. But thats very expensive. But 270 is way enough for the streets, right? Otherwise think about buying a race bike that can reach 330km/h like the RSV4 or so. Crazy thing!
Yes superduke can go more than 289 km/h, it is possible to go to 299 km/h,,first generation of superduke is the real beast

It has been recorded in Germany :) On a lot of highways, there is no speed limit!

Everything is original if you mean the speed. But the speedometer tends to show more than there is in reality. Still a very very fast bike. ;)

Da muss man ja Angst haben dass es einem den Kopf abreißt :D Als ich in der Fahrschule die 700er GS mit Vollgas über die Autobahn getreten habe, fand ich das schon krass :D Jetzt auf meiner ZX-6R merke ich den Wind ja kaum :-)

Bei meiner ZX-6R spüre ich den Wind auch kaum. Hab ne 03er, die läuft laut Tacho 290 und das ist viiiiiiiiel bequemer als die Super Duke :D Welches Baujahr hast du?
Ich hab ne 98er, das G Modell, laut Tacho läuft sie 260 xD Also 290 laut Tacho ist für ne ZX-6R unglaublich schnell :D Aber du hast ja auch ein Hubraumplus von 36 ccm unterm Hintern ;) ZX636B richtig?
genau, die 636B :D Tolles Gerät, macht soooo Laune! Genau, erstens das Hubraumplus und zweitens läuft sie recht fett und darum auch bissl schneller denk ich ^^
Aber auch die 260 reichen dicke, oder? ;)

Nathan Grove 2016 SDR 100% stock + 115lbs rider😁 easily does 176mph and could have did easily more but ran out of straitaway.
About 80 mph. is about all I want to go on mine with no windscreen. I love that Clearview looking out over the naked handlebars I'm about 6 ft. I just got it 2016 SDR the prior put all kinds of goody extras on it👍 first time having brembos and single-sided swingarm. Best naked bike I've ever owned , lucky I took a demo ride on a 990 Duke in Houston when the KTM truck came , way back .
