Family is what it's all about. :) These are probably the brightest "OEM" headlights I have seen. Thank you! Using the links in the videos description helps me out a bit, I appreciate it!
Just got done watching your whole catalog of updates. Great information, thanks so much for sharing. Got home last week from purchasing a M1085A1 from WarFox and looking to do a deep dive into the truck before working on a full-time habitat build. I realize there's differences in the trucks, but there's enough commonality that these have all been great information as to what to dig into! I was looking to get a bed crane to help using the truck and noticed you tossed a bit of an upgraded crane on from the first winch. Curious what model that is? Might be a better fit if I can source one. Thanks again!
I plan on covering it when it's complete in an update video, but it's the Light Material Handling Crane built for the LMTV specifically. They're extremely uncommon. I happen to strike a deal on one so I took it, but need to figure out the actual winch on it still. Thanks for watching! More to come. Bret is a good guy, you got a good truck if you got one from him.
There is a lot of good information to read through on the Facebook group. I recommend Bret Fox at War Fox Equipment. He's a great guy & does good work. Prices are fair. Beats going through the hassle of GovPlanet. Tell him Colt sent you. warfoxequipment.com/6x6-trucks.html
so in the first 2 minutes you are replacing a headlight. On that headlight at the back of the assembly (the lamp itself) on my unit are female connector plugs (1997 truck). I see that yours is a harness that plugs into the 3 individual plugs from truck side but my lamp is a pass through double connector (female-female) plugs that go through the metal back of the lamp and connect to the wired portion of the actual lamp. Do you have any idea where to find those plugs? I just got my LMTV and those plugs are dry rotted and destroyed. I can direct wire and solder it, but I figured I would ask first if you know of a source.
It sounds like you are talking about the light bucket, not the lamp itself. The connectors can't be replaced on it. They're all called Packard connectors. I have a light bucket available, as well as complete cargo cover kits if interested.
@@CallMeColtLLC If you get me some contact info I'll send some pictures so we can be on the same page. I'm also looking for some info on shocks and the bushings throughout the truck, you seem to be the best resource if you are interested in taking a few questions. Thanks for the time.
I'm not the right person to be making videos on that type of stuff. The deepest I go is how to connect things and some simple stuff. There are way better channels that will be better at teaching that type of stuff than me. Just being honest!
I could here better if you turned down that music then maybe I could here the valve and air going in,don’t understand why people that post have to play weird music, the content is what we’re after.
The music is very low. No matter what, you would not hear the wheel valve on video. I get your point though. Some people watch for entertainment as well.
Your kids are sweet! ❤ The dog too!
Thanks!
Truck is coming along nicely. Thanks for the links!
One step at a time. Thanks!
Beautiful family. Thanks for the video/link. Already upgraded headlights, not happy. Might give these a shot, look bright. Thanks

There’s so much fun
I have a few more large projects I want to complete before I can really have a lot of fun with it, but it has still be fun!
Saw you in the wild today!
Where did you see me?!
Awesome headlights! Love the truck!
congrats on having the rare crane.
Took time time to get it together.

We got the exact same thing
A lot of people have been getting these trucks!
I live just east of San Antonio myself and would love to chat with you and gain some wisdom before I buy one of these bad boys.

@@chadjones7722 there's an email on the top of my website. www.callmecolt.com
I got your message & replied.
i want those lights on my subawoo
Speaker makes headlights for everything, they probably make some for it!
Do you have a build initial cost, maintenance and build cost?
Not really. To challenging to keep track of with getting things in trade and what not. Other things I got for nothing as well.
Video idea: anytone 878 aes 256 encryption for the poors
