Congrats dude! But wasnt the Smeargle in Crystal just a little bit more rare? I know that one was on the 25th phase or something...
It was a joy to watch you hunt for every Pokemon. Just like you did in Crystal. Which game is next? What about X/Y or are you going to Gen 4 now?

Thanks! Technically Smeargle was a 10% encounter. Meaning Tropius was slightly rarer. I’m not exactly sure what’s next but I’m planning out some hunts right now!

Wow, congrats! Ive hunted this myself and it's probably my favorite shiny that I own. Getting it first phase is crazy!
Did your Surskit have a way of preventing whirlwind? It would only matter for the level 27 Tropius here if I remember correctly so you were fine here, but if it was one level higher it could have been tragic. I used Roselia on this hunt (Sweet scent + ingrain)
