me right now… the season finale, the love I’ve developed for all these women, knowing that some darkness is coming but seeing the characters frozen in this moment of happiness… I’m absolutely crying 😂
Annie Golden (with The Shirts) had a major hit in The Netherlands with Tell me Your Plans back in the day. Just learned that the song didn't do all that well in the USA but when I see her in OITNB, it takes me back to my childhood. She still has a great voice. And she's amazing as the 'voiceless' Norma.
The words are what make me feel this on a spiritual level. God will give us the light to guide us through the journey. Some of us gain spiritual sight at 5 , some at 15 , some at 25 , and some at 30. The sight will come to you when you are ready ❤❤❤❤
Loved this scene but Maritza and Flacco were flat wrong for them dogging Suzanne after the fact. If she wanted to snap and beat the crap out of both of them she could have. 🤦🏾♂️
Even though she doesn’t say much
She’s one of my favourite characters
Same!
no way, she's the worst
no way, she's the worst
Same, she's great
I love her
I love how when Suzanne starts punishing herself for getting stage fright, Taystee and Poussey instantly pull her back and hold her so she calms down.
And?
@@sambugos4237 does there need to be anymore elaboration?
You can tell that, in a subtle way, they all care for one another. It’s a nice moment.
I know. My heart ❤😩
@@sambugos4237 it's special and beautiful because they care about her and don't want her to be hurting like that.
She has a beautiful voice
Gotta love that right side of the brain- let's even the worst stutterers and aphasia sufferers sing beautifully.
The actress who played Norma, she is the lead singer of punk band The Shirts in the 70s.
Annie Golden played and sang her socks off in the movie Hair! She was (and is) amazing!
Is she singing fo real in this scene ?
And was the voice of Marina in "The Pebble and the Penguin."
@@rasmus9350 absolutly!
@@rasmus9350 yes. She is a well known singer. She currently is starring in the Broadway revival of the musical Into the Woods.
I don’t know why, but when I heard her sing I cried

Me too, it was just so beautiful and touching 🥹
This is one of the best scenes in TV history. Music frees the shy supressed side of her that's too scared to come out 😭❤️
Always been a fan . Norma the silent angel❤️
💯
2021 and I’m still getting a serious case of goosebumps listening to her sing❤️
The only times you ever hear Norma say anything is when she sings here and one other time when she was comforting Red
There's another scene after Poussey dies. Norma is cradling the grieving Brook in her arms while singing to her. Very touching scene.
@@dovegoddess1100she was everyone’s gran!
she also speaks in her own episode. when she pushes her cultist off a cliff lol
2022 and still love to hear this sweet lady sing.
She was in the original broadway cast of “Assassins” and sings a duet in the show and really shows off her talent
1:57 behind Anita, the lady always crying by the phones (I think her name is German??) looks like she's crying again.
Annie Golden did Marina in The Pebble and The Penguin, and her voice never gets old. 😁❤
Oh, my God!! I knew I recognized the voice!!!
Sweet precious Norma!! Love her!!❤
Oh yeah lay down Mary

1:33 wow
Wie heisst der song???
der *Song heißt “I Saw the Light”
Why did Piper leave
Because pensatucky had been trying to kill her and I’m pretty sure she just got really emotional/uneasy and went out for air
Because she is possessed by the devil and couldn’t take all the Lord’s praising.
