IS a real looker and was met with some disapproval on launch due to the slightly shady differences between the GTX 1060 6GB and the GTX 1060 3GB which was not just a reduction in RAM but other important specs which have an effect on overall performance.
Needless to say a lot of people found this out the hard way.
Fast forward to 2023 and what is the Palit Geforce GTX 1060 3GB Jetstream like in Games and general us now and how does it do price wise? Lets find out.

This card has been one of my favourites over the years, not just cos it looks gorgeous but it was a great performer until I forked out for me Redragon RX580....the card that got me watching your channel in the first place !!!
It could still play games at decent framerates at 1080p and was quiet as a church mouse with socks on. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Mike and Kath 🙂

I still have my Zotac AMP! GTX 1060, 6 GB. In next-gen games is suffering (specially with "The Witcher 3" update: from all in med to all in low because of it's remade for RTX's). I know I'll have to upgrade, however... prices althought have dropped, incomes aren't enough to save and go for a RTX 3060 12 GB (and more with the local coin (Colombian peso) on its higher dollar value: US$1 = almost $5000 COP). zotac 1060 6gb is still powering kaths PC but she rarely plays games these days, to busy

My work requirements had no need for anything beyond the GTX970 for years, and I moved up to a RTX 3070 for my recent home PC build. I needed the extra oomph for video editing, streaming and to drive multiple monitors.
This is my long way of saying I skipped this generation of GPUs, so it's interesting to see what they were capable of, and it seems like they provided a lot, but not at that $400+ price point during the GPU shortages.
Thanks for review, Mike. It seems like in some situations, this card can still fit the bill.
for the casual gamer or youngster starting out this is a great little card
I think the 3GB limits this unfortunately. I wouldn’t personally get anything below 4GB and that is scraping the barrel as it is.

Nice looking card Mike... Missed this one cause i had bought the 960 2GB couple of months before this came out... try 2 gigs it's terrible .(i'm still crying)- now rocking a 2060 12gb at 1440p good enough 60 + fps ( bought on amazon brand new for 300)
2060 12gb would be a video editing dream
I'd still be using my GTX 1080 today (180w TDP) if my gaming rig hadn't died this past summer. (It still works just fine, so I'm hanging onto it as a backup.) And by the way, NVIDIA has done something very similar with the RTX 3060: there's one with 8Gb of memory and one with 12Gb. They're not the same; the 8Gb card is crappy compared to the 12Gb version.
I had a Palit Jetstream 660ti back in the day. It was a great upgrade for me at the time 😁

I still have my white Asus GTX 1060 6gb. I bought a custom white back plate from this company in Portugal, called ColdZero. We don't get Palit cards in the U.S, unfortunately.

Sure for $40-60 US tops used. New no more than $80-100. I bought one during peak prices for $90 as a secondary media PC Card. Did great. Doom eternal around 80-100 FPS. Still a solid card at the right price. 1070 $80-100 1080 $100-140 1080ti $140-200
Retro. Thing is if you abide by lowering the graphics settings. Anything is possible, within reason.
Have made a dumb move?? I pulled the trigger on an RX 5600xt for the I7 3770 win 10 - My idea was to encourge me to save a few quid for a 5700x build which I have all spec-ed up (tbf all I need the b550 tomahawk, the CPU & some DDR4) The RX5600 was £170 on CeX. On a side note; CeX CPU prices are out of whack.
yeah cex prices are really out of sync with the market at the moment, takes them a while to get inline
Nvidias naming scheme was and is still is atrocious 🙈🤦♀🤦♂🤦🙈! But this GPU has its place in the performance charts …. Just not it’s naming! I love the Palit Jetstream lineups of years past 🥰👍😇. However Palit isn’t really found here in Australia 🇦🇺 anymore …… since around the GTX700 series which is a shame.

I upgraded to an AMD 6650XT and gave my 6GB 1060 to my brother and nephew late last year for their home PC. It games very well at 1080P. With the 6 GB I never had to use medium settings I ran almost everything at high for many years.

I still have my old MSi Twin Frozr 7970 Lightning 3GB in an old build running windows 7 Ultimate, it was a decent card in it's time, I have jumped up to 12GB VRAM these days in my present RYZEN build.

They should have called the 1060 6gb the 1060ti. Double the ram just like the 1050ti 4gb vs 1050 2gb. People would not have complained.
I've not long since upgraded from this card, sold mine on ebay recently....

@@mikesunboxing agree! The Palit held up well but after doing the upgrades on PC decided to invest i did go over too an MSI 1080 Gaming X but was able to purchase the 3070ti TUF Gaming and has been an amazing card.... keep up the good work. Be doing any X570 MB videos soon?
When i upgraded from gtx750 to play cod i cudnt afford these and ended up with rx570 4gb. Think this was a much more capable hence demand. Wonder if this year will see driver updates for 1000 gpus finish? Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath & bob👍

okay for a beginner i guess as most players on console on elite dangerous can go pc and take the game with them.
Ha, got the 6gb version of this card. I love its design and the 6GB can still play some more modern games with a bit of FSR thrown in at 1080p. BTW, the 6GB version is the same 192 bit bus as the 3GB one.

Recently picked up the 6gb version for £70 off facey for my daughters rig.

I made a waterblock for a Hewlett Packard GTX 1060 3GB. I was able to OC the die by around 200 MHz and 500 MHz on the ram.

my 1060 broken just now it has no monitor signal it says no hdmi, and it restart automatically I dont know what to do.
