Andertons has never represented itself as an independed reviewer and I don't know that anyone should be watching their videos with the impression that they are getting anything other than a retailers review of new product.
Exactly the case and well-said. I can never enjoy this channel as much as others, they are willing to ruin whatever legitimacy they may have for the hard sell. Jack is fun and he smiles and laughs through every product but I would never use him nor their videos for genuine purchasing reasons since this is and always will be a channel for products, not personal opinions on said product.
Love their gear and I do own an og OP-1 however it is kind of wild to think you would need to spend roughly 8k to have all of the latest in their OP ecosystem.
Looks amazingly hard to use! bring your miniature salad tongs and razorblades to shave down your shielded cables, because they're useless here otherwise!

a fantastic, beautifully crafted device. But do you know what is equally remarkable? An 8-track Digital recorder, twin mics, built in effects, aluminium body, and more...that can also fit inside a shirt pocket..that was released nearly ten years ago and cost just £160. If it had a TE logo on it folk would be over it like a rash, instant buy etc But it doesn't so they don't. The wee BOSS BR-80 is a brilliant companion. Practical, great sounding, portable, and above all USEABLE without the aid of tweezers.

Let me see … for £200 less, I can get the 16-channel Presonus StudioLive desk with 12x XLR in and a USB interface. For a quarter of the price, I can get the teenie-weenie 16-channel MIDI- and CV controller AtoVproject - 16n to control all of my synths. If the future of mixers is microscopic brain implants for £20k a shot, I'm afraid Jack has to get hooked up alone.

Howdy I am thinking of playing live with only op1 field..but I am considering buying the tx-6. Will the new TE CM-15 be able to pug directly into the tx-6? Or do I need a dynamic mic? I plan on talking and or screaming…distortion, delay, reverb. Hope its not a dumb question.

Even if it is for their own current and forthcoming products. Why the hell did they make it so small? It's like a complete misunderstanding of literally everything that makes a live oriented mixer cool. The only things I want to be thinking about on a desk if I'm doing Dub/Live Electronic are the Faders, the EQ pots & the Sends. "It's a proper performace mixer". LOL, no it really really isn't. They could have made it as wide as the OP, twice the depth, and included hands on control for everything I just mentioned. And then the price MIGHT have been acceptable. But at over £1k with the connectivity and UX it provides, it is simply a stupid bit of kit imho.

It's perfect for DJ's that play music for dance venues. Not talking about clubs but social, weekly dance events like salsa, Argentine tango, west coast swing, blues, shagg... where the the DJ shows up with his portable gear. The venue may change and it may not have any sound gear setup. The fact that this is USB powered and has 3 band eq ... amazing. There are no mixers like that.

This thing is too big. You can still manipulate the controls without using tweezers. The next generation should be even smaller and tweezers should not be included. It should be sold separately for another $1,000.

Standard shielded cables can't even fit in the back of this thing if you want to utilize all of the i/o. The scale so miniscule, seemingly perfect for kids hands and nobody else. Even the demo guy seemed careful not to freestyle anything but the sliders and easily accessible buttons that aren't a cm away from each other. Why would they do this? It's cramped like even a tiny bit more surface area would've broken the concept. Just a clownshow piece of kit all around. The worst thing i've seen from a company that used to be known for pretty forward thinking gear.. Sophomore slump I hope, but if this is the way the company is going philosophically (that form factor and compact-ness matter more than usability), no amount of positive features will save them.

Use a balun. But it won't supply phantom power, so dynamic's your ticket.

Yeah, i love mine too. Very useful to me. I agree it would be easier to use if it were larger, but then it's harder to pack and carry. And I've been so happy to see the two major updates since I got it!
