I wish Citizen had automatics at the sub $500 price point to compete with Seiko. The Citizens seem to have a nice build quality. Also they seem to be able to line up a chapter ring!
I own this model, bought it a year ago while visiting the Citizen store in Las Vegas. It has been a great watch. In discussing the large crown guard Rob doesn't mention the top protector pulls away creating more room for operation.
This watch also has double coated AR on the sapphire crystal. Even with studio lights there is hardly any reflection. It's as if you can touch the hands and dial. Love mine.
Some people said the crown digs into their wrist but for me it feel no different. It feel like wear a large watch. And it does get a lot of attention. Watch lovers will be asking you about it
Damn, you beat me to it. I’m doing a review on this watch in the next week, I’ve been wearing and enjoying it for a while, it’s an over the top but gorgeous watch. The best thing, I got it on sale in the U.K. for £110, an absolute steal.
Color me silly, but I’m pretty sure it’s ok for you to like watches other than Seiko mechanical dive watches. I don’t really care for citizens dive watch designs - but who cares? I’m glad you are having a great time with watches and I’m glad you’re adding variety to what is shown . See ya!
I've got the Citizen Signature Courageous blue diver watch and the dial is spectacular (the movement is also an upgrade on the standard eco drive) Why I am thinking of selling it is the no adjustments on the bracelet and it doesn't really work on any strap I try. This one you are presenting is probably too large for me but is a real beauty love the minute hand.
Best AR coating of any watch I ever seen. Weird "diver"... because no exstension but 23mm lugwidth. Plasticky bezel and visible plastic movement holder (look hard) and I have my doubts about the power reserve... still it charges with the slightest movement of the wrist. But the watch is a marvel in all its quirckiness and overall beauty! I love mine!
Nice review Rob. I guess if you have a large and strong wrist and like a large heavy thick watch that is very well made, it is a good fit if you can get a good deal on it. I don't like Crown Guards on any watch. I actually like Japanese watches. I think you get more for your money. I have a citizen dress watch with the echo drive, I think it is 35mm. Works on my 7-inch small wrist. I also like Seikos and Orient watches. I was sold on a Tisell because it has a movement made by citizen myota 9015 I think. 28,800 beats per hour. I tend to like those watches as I like a smooth sweeping hand. I look forward to more of your reviews.
Wow this is one Citizen watch that I would live to ad to my collection. I already own the echozilla on stock bracelet that I acquired back in 2003 . My issue is that I’ve been craving a Seiko Sumo and after seeing this video I’m confused on what watch to buy . I am almost sure I’ll get the Sumo but man this Citizen watch is amazing 😀👍🏻
Well I luv the watch, size not a problem, crown not a problem, but I’m not an Auburn fan ,so the orange and blue don’t work for me,thanks for a great review though!
Hello friend .. I have a question and I hope you can help me. I just got this citizen grand touring sport. What tool or screwdriver size is needed to remove the pins and adjust the bracelet of this watch. thanks and regards.
For some reason if I try to post links now it will demonetize the video too. So now I just won’t post links, they were just to help people find things. I get nothing from directing people where to buy ever.

ytown4 I agree 100%
They go on sale sometimes at Macy’s for less than $500
2018 black Friday this watch at Citizen outlet was about $520. Online I have seen under $550 from some reputable sellers.

as a regular SCUBA diver I can tell you that the most common watch seen on dive boats is not SEIKO, not Rolex, not Omega....it's Citizen!
That movement finishing is so much better than in similarly priced Seikos.
This watch also has double coated AR on the sapphire crystal. Even with studio lights there is hardly any reflection. It's as if you can touch the hands and dial. Love mine.
is it comfortable to wear?? ... just curious about that crown protector maybe being uncomfortable..thanks

M A L L A M I spotted it at a local jewellers at a retail outlet, they had it marked up as a clearance item. I pop in weekly now to check their stock
One of the BEST WATCHES to own Right now
Beautiful watch ! Impossible to find anywhere now alas...

I like only old models.Old is gold.

Mark have you sold your present watch? I assume it is a BL1258-53L with the SS bracelet band.
@@CraigRasmussen1 Yes that is the one. I sold it last year.
Mark Thanks for getting back to me. Could I ask you what the sales price was? I’m trying to get an idea of what the used price range is on that model.
@@CraigRasmussen1 Hi, I don't remember exactly somewhere around $300-350, mine was in really good condition;
They are cool!.
Thanks for sharing (& probably getting me in trouble 🤪🤣👍)

Bruce is gonna sell this one. Hit him up and make a deal.
Really nice. Where can I find a good price for one online?
That would be in my shopping cart already if it wasn't for the crown guard.
It's really beautiful, I found one for 685, I'll get one ASAP.

How many watches in your collection, are you intend to sell one of them?
I love this watch. Best Japanese watch as far as I’m Concerned. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Citizen Touring watch blows a Grand Seiko out of the water.
Such a cool watch😎👍🔥🔥🔥
Mate, have you ever had a ‘The Citizen’? Or the new ultra thin model? Or a Campanolo? Or even a signature series ?
this was $386 on black friday and 406 this week at macys sold out of course lol..youtube must not like links being posted

RUclips never misses an opportunity to demonitize.
That price is way more reasonable
By definition, this is not a diver. Clasp is not diver suitable. I've had one for over a year & love it. It is heavy!
What a watch!
Beautiful, but holy yuge crown guard and pricy for a 9 series unless you go used.
Great watch.
Wow, I was guessing at around $300-ish before you said what the price was. $1,200 is a little optimistic, to put it politely.
👀👍👍
What about scraches on bezel? Has it any scratch-proof?
Nice watch except for the crown guard. Still haven't seen a citizen that calls out to me though.
Nicest blue ive seen
Boi
The watch looks ok but that crown guard is too much. $1200 for this watch though retail? Maybe a $500 watch but no way twice that.
Look like Panerai
Most of these citizen watches are ugly anime stuff
