It was probably one of those durable cameras used in terrain work. They cost a lot and people use them for a long time. It was most likely bought around 2010.

@Magman Ah, thanks. With volcanoes trending, thanks to Mauna Loa, lots of people tend to get wowed if they hear of another volcano erupting. Just kinda tired of it.
