Good lord, your channel is so underrated, every single other video I found just explain how to make the circuit, you're the first one I found that explained what the circuit is actually doing to the crystal, thank you😂
I remember the days we had to buy magazines to learn this stuff. And now its in plentiful supply on youtube. The ability to be a maker now-a-days is so much easier that we are seeing so much more innovation. And it's channels like this that are pushing us all forward. Brilliant!
Great video, useful.. In the previous days I was working on your portable soldering iron, with atmega328p-pu and I replaced the BJT (2SC3356) with2SC945
Huge thanks for video. It took me only two days googling + microscope + this video and now i know wtf is & does this component on circuit. Now lets build adjustable frequency magnetic induction furnace.. ..after researching how much current it can hold or how to go around this "small issue"? 😅
The only thing that is missing in this video is that you can (up to some range) check if crystals are working, using multimeter, by placing black probe to gnd, and red probe to one of contacts of resonator, multimeter should show frequency while device/pcb is turned ON. Not everyone has oscilloscope at home.
Is it true that the 3p resonators won't need capacitors in series with them (the ones that usually came with the value of 22pF) Because, I've seen a lot of microcontroller schematics that uses those 3p resonators, but doesn't use 2x 22pF capacitors...
Would you point me in the right direction to make a sonic knife? I actually want use wires in parallel. My goal is similar to slicing an entire loaf of bread in one pass.
Hi How Can I Lower The Frequency Of Quartz Crystal From 32768 kHz to 24500 kHz? I Wanna Create And Measure Martian Time Which Is 24 Hours 39 Minutes Thanks
No an atomic part uses the resonance of atoms like Cesium or Rubidium. I believe these use a microwave cavity to set up the oscillations. Another (newish tech) resonator is MEMS (Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems). These are more stable over a wider temperature ranges, as quartz need to be temperature stabilized to remain accurate (ie Oven Crystal Oscillators OXCO).
Fg 200 dds hs çıkış signal generator ile 1mhz hs hıgh speed ile artı çıkış almak mümkünmü ve kare üçgen dalga verip frekans ları kullanmak istiyorum yardım edermisin
Two noob questions if someone would kind enough to answer, pls & ty.... 1. If you always have to essentially convert the hertz to seconds, why is that particular speed so special or any easier to use, just because it evenly divides down to a whole number 1? 2. Why cant they just manufacturer 1hz crystal, save everyone a lot of work?
The answer is pretty simple. Let's suppose that while measuring time, there is always an error of 0.05Hz which can be machine error, human error or any type of an unavoidable error (since we don't live in an ideal world). Case 1: Now if we try to make a crystal of 1Hz, the worst-case scenario will be that we might end up making a crystal of 1.05Hz. Now while measuring time, this error will get added up with each clock tick. So after 1000s, the calculated time will be 952s with such a crystal. The situation will get worse as time passes by. Case 2: Now if we make a crystal of 32767Hz, the worst-case scenario will be that we might end up making a crystal of 32767.05Hz. When we divide this value by (2^15) using 15 flip flops, we'll get a net value of 1.0000015Hz. On measuring 1000s with such a crystal the measured time will be 999.9985s. Which case seems more accurate?
@@dtpc_technologies wow, great explanation, thanks so much! Im a software guy long before a hardware one... i need to remember the physical world is not the same as the virtual 😉
@@hardxor Ever tried cutting vegetables with a sword? It's not only about the number of flip flops. At such a high frequency, we have to use components that can actually handle such a high frequency. This will also reduce the battery life and will have other negative effects too. Will you pay 25 times the price for a watch with 10% battery life and almost the same precision?
Issue is size. A 1 Hz Crystal would be quite large and too big to use in a watch. The crystal size and shape determines it resonant frequency, just the the length of a pendulum. The shorter the pendulum the faster it oscillates.
Would be good to see some practical examples. Say for example an old laptop. Show the crystal. Each pin and readings from it...probably a seperate video.
While I do appreciate the effort you've put into that video , you're going too fast. If someone's watching this, either they'll know how it work and already understand what's going on, or they'll dont know and won't understant anything.
Sad to see you are resonating a metal ruler on that oscilloscope. Im doing electronics since 2009 and self studying about microcontrollers since 2015. I haven't even seen an oscilloscope in real yet 🙃😭
Your English is very good. Unfortunately you speak too fast for my ears to synch with your voice. I would like to be able to learn under you. Is it possible to speak just a bit slower. If not I'll still be here trying. Thanks.
You use illustrations from www.electronics-tutorials.ws and do not state the source. Shame.. This resource deserves all the credit. Every noob should have it bookmarked.
Good day. Sorry I didn't realized that. Plese tell me on which minute you think I've used that illustration and I'll place a credit link in the description.

Correction to 9:41 The clock crystal is usually rated at 32768 Hertz, which is 32.768 KHz, not 32768 MHz.

Best electronic channel in youtube
I was searching for this explanation since a long time .
great work man 👏
Change "i hope you learned something new today" to "i know that you've learned many things from this video"
Electronoobs channel is awesome 🥰
jaja
Very well explained
My teacher never explained me this way
Really, really interesting, dude! 😃
In the past you had to change the resonator from the remote controller to change the frequency! 😂
True!
your video is just like great scott you are also one of the bests
Amazingly explained !!!

Keep posting more theory related and practical explanation for them, like this vedio, it helps us understand more clearly
