Extremely happy with these uploads. It’s amazing to watch them in HD! The 2006 Texas fall race is one of the oldest races I remember. It would be pretty awesome to see that in HD! 🙂
Devin C the strange thing is, while I really liked nascar around this time I didn’t really understand or pay attention to the races because I was only 4 but I can see what you mean
@@Foxfire_forty-nine It's more than just nostalgia. They were more engaging, layered and unpredictable than they are now with stages and cars with too much grip and not enough power.
@@SwingAxleLoverI agree. @@anthonybilliot7645 A lot of us did. The same people who made those Papyrus NASCAR games are the ones who developed iRacing in large part, with the help of the owner of the Red Sox for funding. I remember spending an entire summer glued to my computer chair with my shit-box wheel & pedals playing NR2003 when it was booming around the time it came out. Of course I also played NR4 and NR2002. They were the first racing games with a true online multiplayer with dedicated servers. I was like 16 years old, and I can remember sitting at my computer racing while watching the cup race on the TV near by. Good times. Even had the opportunity to race against Junior on there. He was a big fan of the game, as were a lot of other drivers, and you always saw them around or heard about them showing up in races. iRacing today is far superior but I still have fond memories of those days when NR2003 had a ton of people racing. This is one race where I wasn't actually at home playing NR2003, because I was at this race in the stands above pit road right behind Kasey Kahne's pit box. Couldn't see much from there but I didn't care, was still awesome.
@@retrocny5625 I got a laptop about a year ago before I started highschool, first thing I did was download nr2003. i spent so much time playing it with a keyboard and mouse then eventually a switch controller, now I do it with e thrustmaster t15o pro. Hoping a can save for a gaming desktop so I can do iRacing. Hinestly NR2003 is unmtached by any other NASCAR gaming title except for iRacing. I would love to find a league to race against others on there.
Holy shit… putting this on at 1:00AM as I work another overnight shift, I just got a HUUUGE hit of nostalgia as I remember watching this race as a kid…
kriswascher97 if they did, they would’ve had the network version copy right now. Instead they’re using the feed of their own. Unfortunately, it is what it is 🤷🏻♂️. There are, however, three 2006 NASCAR Cup races in 16:9 HD. They are Sonoma, Kansas, & the Fall Talladega race.
Give Denny all the rap we do now, sure, he deserves it, but, can we say one thing about him, and how smart he was when that left rear tire blew, and he spun it out towards the inside part of the track, that saved his day today, that alone.
I would love these more if they were in the 16:9 ratio that they were televised in. Good uploads nonetheless, but just a thought. I love these old races either way!
What In Carnation? To tell you the truth, they don’t have the network version of this race. Which is why the NASCAR races from 2005 & 2006 will only be 4:3 instead of 16:9 on this NASCAR RUclips channel. You can watch Sonoma, Kansas, & Talladega (Fall) from 2006 in 16:9 HD.
What if we told this kid he was going to be a three time Dayton 500 champion and win the 500 in back to back years . I don’t think he would believe us .
Keep in mind: Denny Hamlin had never seen this track before.

M&M Cup Series except that race will be uploaded in 4:3 instead of 16:9.
The track that gave Denny a historical memory for him
Something about races back then are so entertaining, I don’t know what races today are missing but old races from the 2000’s just have a charm to them
Nostalgia, really.

A track that Denny mastered thanks to the PC game _NASCAR Racing 2003 Season._
Still great today!
he did the iracing thing before iracing

When people didn’t care how long the race was. 500 miles at pocono is a classic.
First NASCAR race I watched, thank you for uploading!

Same 2:30 for me
been watching alot of these 2006 races and getting a little misty eyed at the memories. Was a HUGE Bowyer fan.
Another race that was televised in 16:9 that is instead in 4:3.
Thanks NASCAR, send more this.
Thank you for uploading these!:)
I was there in one of the front rows towards turn 1. back when every race was a packed crowd.
Please upload the 16:9 versions!

back when Pocono put on good stock car races
I LOVE YOU DENNY HAMLIN
Rodco Racing me to
Me too . How about we go back and this kid he is three time Dayton 500 champion .
Great upload. Thanks NASCAR.

no way you'd be able to lose a tyre and go through the grass and still win with the current aero sensitive cars

we love you denny❤️
They omitted the ultra sound bug when Gordon crashed lol
deny Hamlin really did the i racing thing before iracing
Proves that Pocono can put on good races with the right car/package.
I live like 20 minutes away from pocono
Even 20 years ago. He was beating your favorite driver
Whoever decided to Shorten Pocono Races from 500 miles is Stupid. I Loved the Test and Endurance that these Long Races provided.
Please upload Juan Pablo Montoya's first win | Sonoma 2007. Thanks a lot!
You couldn't have chosen a broadcast that didn't have a weather warning beeping the whole time?
I miss the old rear bumper camera for the gen 4 car I wonder why they got rid of it
What with the weather popup at 1:58:34
Apparently they're using the Charlotte FOX Affiliate for the upload
I like KTTV.
The moment i watched the last laps of the race, I was thinking: "We could be seeing a rookie win this race."
Did they upload this twice?
They have this and his 2nd win at Pocono, 2 different races, both in 06 and won by Denny, second is titled Denny Sweeps Pocono
Hello NASCAR me BRASIL 🇧🇷
Miguel Sem nome we need more Latin viewers for our sport
26:46 29:10 30:09 Sterling Marlin Engine Trouble
Turn 1 wall: I'm about to end Gordon's career
Would've been interesting to see one mow through them bushes where there's no catch fence yet installed
That did nearly happen 4 years later
Cool shoutout to John Hunter Nemecheck
Who’s here after him being the All time Pocono winner
Lol ab that

Ah, the good ol days when Jimmie Johnson was dominating everything lol.
35:57 Robby Gordon
👍👍👍👍
Don't care to know who won a race before I watch it, but I'll watch it anyway.
I forgot about chubby Denny
