However in the early 60s, when I was very young, I had a tomboy girl cousin who just loved playing with her zillions of little toy soldiers made of plastic. I had no choice but to play along because she had absolutely no dolls .. .lol ...or other things that little girls would commonly have. I was a prissy, frilly, princess who liked to play with dolls & not get dirty. lol I would play "army" with her, as she called it, & we would play with the toy soldiers. Even at that very young age - 5 - 10 - I was not exactly thrilled at the prospect of re-enacting what these little plastic men were doing to each other - killing people mostly for clods of dirt & land that didn't belong to them.
