I'm thinking and I can't find much reason to live, nothing about the future excites me (career, money, family, etc.), the current competitive system scares me and I realized that my enthusiasm for life is diminishing. I have been reading and trying to understand Marx and other Marxist writers for the last 1-2 years. Marxism taught me a lot For example, the biggest thing he taught me was that I became proud that my father is a worker, and I realized the value of his work. Cause I grew up in a middle-class neighborhood, I was always embarrassed to describe my father's profession, but ever since I started learning Marxism I have been proudly voicing it in every setting. Another thing he taught me It made me realize how unfair the world is, that we actually live in Hell. I have always admired the struggles and perseverance of communists. although there are so many selfish, indifferent people in the world, so much intolerance and injustice, the belief of communists that they can change all of these has always attracted my attention Unfortunately, I do not believe that these injustices will end. It saddens me that people live in luxury while on the one hand people are starving. people who committed suicide out of unemployment, poverty, , thousands of children dying of hunger and thirst. honestly, I do not believe the struggle will be successful while there are so many selfish, money dog people. Hello, i work in manufacturing as a machinist. I work 12 hour days in dangerous conditions however under the capatalist system i enjoy the work that i do (as it adds to society) and the amount i earn. My question is in a socialist system, would the people be forced to work certain types of work (such as farming, manufacturing or hard labour.) or have the choice to work whatever the people may desire. (Such as all the above with career's in hospitality, art, music or self employment?). A follow up question, if forced labours an option, how would you force the people to work jobs they may or may not want to work even if the worker has a say in the modes of production? And if Choice is an option, what would be the incentives of a socialist to work hard manual labour jobs? would the employee make lots of money and be able to keep there earnings? If not, what would keep an employee working or would the employment be outsourced to other countries? Maybe our society shifts our look on hard working labourers as the new influencers? Thankyou.
In a capitalist society, any person can open up their own business. I did it. I opened up a cleaning business. Purchased the vacuum and supplies. Best thing i ever did. Anyone can do it.
I am sure you have an idea of what videos you are going to make, but if it's not on the list I would like to recommend a video on the dictatorship of the proletariat. It seems like it is often misunderstood by those outside of our movement.
Great explanation. It outlines one of the most important ways to differentiate between capitalism and socialism that many people who believe themselves to be socialists regularly forget/ignore/don't understand: socialism isn't when the state takes over from private capitalists, but when the workers themselves do it in a democratic society/economy. I've seen far too many videos talking about the great things that "socialism" has done, when the means of production were still of the capitalist stripe: owners (private and/or state) at the top, workers at the bottom. Socialism is definitely better than capitalism, but "better" is regularly conflated with "socialism" because of similar humanitarian goals.
I'm a business owner or "boss" who also does all the work in my small business. I want to make as much profit as possible, but I also want to work as little as possible. Where do I fit in in this system?
If you do all the work in your small business and have no employees, you are essentially what socialism wants to achieve but for everyone. You are receiving market value for your labour. You do 100% of the work, and you receive 100% of the revenue. This is completely fair.
You, as a businessman, will continue to draw as much profit you like just by making sure your firm produces non-essential goods. Privileges, social status, and therefore individuality will be absolutely preserved and given value
Thanks for the info I always thought communism was horrible they took your children from you that's what I was raised up told but can it work it's filled before let's hope and pray this is real communism and it will succeed again thank you for the information
but still what does this mean to own the means of production? what happens if it does occur and the means of production are being used for the "common good" (3:14) instead of excess wealth of one capitalist? Will it lead to a money-free economy? Will it mean the workers have more say in how they can work and how much they earn for it?
There are no similarities. We have fundamentally different goals. His understanding of "socialism" is just "when the government does things". It's literally just social democracy economically with authoritarian social measures to enforce conservatism. An open dictatorship of the bourgeoisie that's still, despite what its adherents will tell you, subservient to the power of capital.
@@Marxism_Today glad to hear you are familiar with him, I am not sure that he would define socialism like that but seeing as you both at least claim to be opposed to capitalism, which you might very well define in different ways, a discussion could be fruitful at least for your audiences. Thank you for the support! Welcome aboard :) ✊🚩
This is some good stuff! Very well made. Thank you very much! :)
I am sure you have an idea of what videos you are going to make, but if it's not on the list I would like to recommend a video on the dictatorship of the proletariat. It seems like it is often misunderstood by those outside of our movement.
Thanks, Paul! 💖 slan agat
Very good

Thanks comrade! Really appreciate the support ✊
It’s an interesting video. I definitely have some questions but I assume you’re going to delve more into the specifics in later videos.
Coming through Hakim, great video Comrade.

Okay, I subscribe.
2:44 Transitioning to a “finger” based economy.
Fingers get quite the workout. Hope they’re unionized after watching this one comrade!
Excellent video, you have a new subscriber here.
Stay based paul
I'm a business owner or "boss" who also does all the work in my small business. I want to make as much profit as possible, but I also want to work as little as possible. Where do I fit in in this system?
You are petty bourgeoisie, between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat
If you do all the work in your small business and have no employees, you are essentially what socialism wants to achieve but for everyone. You are receiving market value for your labour. You do 100% of the work, and you receive 100% of the revenue. This is completely fair.
You, as a businessman, will continue to draw as much profit you like just by making sure your firm produces non-essential goods. Privileges, social status, and therefore individuality will be absolutely preserved and given value
@@JohnDoe-uu9gh100%? You do get taxed....

Thanks for the info I always thought communism was horrible they took your children from you that's what I was raised up told but can it work it's filled before let's hope and pray this is real communism and it will succeed again thank you for the information
Here from the eyeball zone! Jk, hakim sent me :P
Lmao for a second there I was like "Wtf Thought Slime based tankie arc???" 😆
I’m not absolutely convinced that communism is going to be the dream you think it will be.
but still what does this mean to own the means of production? what happens if it does occur and the means of production are being used for the "common good" (3:14) instead of excess wealth of one capitalist? Will it lead to a money-free economy? Will it mean the workers have more say in how they can work and how much they earn for it?
I'd be interested to hear you as an Irish Communist talk with Keith Woods, an Irish Third Positionist on your points of similarity and difference.
I'm glad to have found your videos which are more straightforward and to the point than a lot of leftists on youtube.

This is cool
