Looks like a pretty clean gsr40 for sitting so long quick clean up and few new parts from DDM and you will be In the wind in no time great video stay safe
@freddieboi3608 Thanks bro! I've taken it all apart and cleaned, painted it so it's coming along... Just need a new chain, throttle cable and brake cable and she will be on the road again! 😎
Definitely a lot of fun riding around the neighborhood as a kid. Still fun as an adult for a few minutes, but I think that's mostly from the nostalgia haha
Which screws are which? I have it running and idling but then I rev it wants to bog down. I have the idle screw on the black part, then the screw on top the small flat head one, then one on the side with a spring on it.
There might be one more video, because the pads came off the centrifugal clutch after I made this video. But I'm planning to replace the clutch and then sell it, so might not be any more goped videos for a while after that, unless I come across one I can't pass up.
Hi, I finally received the scooter and it was difficult to start it but took 55 pulls. It started I went around the parking lot then turned it off to adjust brakes. I then placed it back in the start position and pulled to try an start it which was still difficult to pull the string and then I heard a clunking sound inside and now the pulley is fully retracted and seized up completely and it is stuck. I am not able to pull it even a tiny bit. Any ideas what happened?
@@Sockets_and_Sprockets I did that already and the starter spins without any issue but the inside part where it is connected to the engine will not spin and seems to be seized up. Any ideas?
One place to look is on ebay. They range from ~$300 for spindle drive, to over $3k for rare performance/race models. I've got a 2019 GSR47 (stroked, ported, and piped) that I picked up for $900, and I'm about to tear her apart for a deep clean and winter/rebuild for next summer. If you are unlucky enough to live in California, pick one up soon before the prices go out of control in a few years when these small gas engines will be no longer be sold new, as decreed by King Newsom the `Nuisance.
Loved my goped growing up. Bought another one 2 years ago. 35 with 3 boys, want them to grow up and ride it

I would take off the recoil pull starter assembly and see what's going on. My guess is something in there is messed up.

So what was banging around
I think it could have been the clutch on its last leg. It broke shortly after and I replaced it in another video.

Im interested! let me know how much you are selling for, I used to have a Go-Ped Sport in blue when I was a kid and loved that thing
I haven't posted it for sale yet. I still need to clear the mental hurdle to get rid of it haha
Awesome I have the Chinese clone with seat freaky slow.
Anyone know what these are worth. I have two like this that have never been ridden and are like new and a third that has been barely ridden

Nope, it is sold. But there will be another video about it because I had to replace the clutch. Not sure when I'll get that video out though.
