      8G all the way! go big or go home. Either way $80 is a fantastic price for a "computer"

      My last two bare bones Dell i7 computers were less than $100 so the prices are converging. Its now more of form factor.

      @@temporarilyoffline I have been wanting to create a battery powered headless server that can be used for various activities while on the go. Recently saw a PCB design for an SD card dev board. I think it would be interesting to redesign with rigid-flex, and make it into an SDCard switcher all built into the case. And with the button on the new one and the clock battery. Shoot just shut down, hit the SD switcher button, and start from a different card. I have lots of cards that are purpose built with more things on way. I don't know, the ideas are endless. CaHR has given me lots of beacon, DMR, and other radio ideas. You are a Linux guy, what are you thinking of doing? But for the old one...thinking PiStar. Thanks for those vides by the way.

      Of all the things they choose to delete, they could have at least left the holes on the circuit board 🙄 in case we wanted to solder our own in.

    Have you heard what types of RTC Batteries will work and does the port recharge them?

    • @temporarilyoffline
      @temporarilyoffline  10 месяцев назад

      Its starting with Panasonic Coin Cells with JST connectors - but no final specs yet. The JST means you can put any battery on it you want that meets the specs... I doubt its rechargeable, but that would be nice... just too small of a footprint.
