Today, Teacher Jessica will introduce some popular attractions in Beijing. These are famous worldwide and iconic for tourists. Chinese language students can practice reading them with Teacher Jessica in the class:
长城 (chángchéng) = the Great Wall
故宫 (gùgōng) = the Forbidden City

Beijing is the usual entry point for travelers into mainland China. The historic sights of Beijing are world famous! "故宫 (gùgōng) = the Forbidden City" is right in the center of the city and has been seen in operas, television and film.
"长城 (Chángchéng) the Great Wall" is one of the most famous structures in the world and crossed the north of China, coming very close to Beijing and is a must-see attraction to explore and walk upon when you visit the city.
