Glad to hear someone else with a 4cyl and the flowmaster dbx! I did vibrant ultra quiet resonator and dbx on my hyundai! I love it! It's only a little bit louder than my already loud factory exhaust!
Thanks man! My guess is since this Flowmaster dbx on the site says it's a muffler, I'm sure other brands like magnaflow would have cool sounds too, as long as you can get both ends of the pipe to be the same stock diameter then the sky is not the limit! I bet there's a ton of epic sounds that no one has tried yet, but this Flowmaster dbx definitely sounds epic, it's not raspy like a straight pipe but has the right amount of bass and grouchy lol
Sounds great. I want my 21’ lx to be quite a bit loud but not excessively loud. Let me guess you downshift with L mode right?😅 because I be doing that and it sounds like im downshifting
@@CallMeBiasTTV nah bro, everything I’ve seen online are clips with the camera or phone right by the exhaust and that sounds completely different than irl. Im sticking to a stock exhaust. I don’t wanna drive a lawn mower yfm?😂
Hey! I love the set up! Inspiring me to do the same thing. I had a quick question tho. I was wondering if you knew if we would still pass smog after the resonator delete? Thank you so much!
I appreciate it!!🙏 Not sure I know it passed my NJ Inspection, and technically the Flowmaster dbx is a muffler so it may help with smog. But I couldn't tell you for sure sorry!
Sounds great man. I’ve had this setup on mine now for a couple years and still love it. I get compliments all the time. And mine is a manual transmission and sounds great going through the gears. People always say it sounds too deep to be a four cylinder lol
@@MrScoobieman yup I got the ktuner to. That is a must for this engine. But yeah I’ve been using Flowmaster on all my vehicles. This was my first four cylinder and look at my luck, Flowmaster made a muffler specifically for four cylinders and did an excellent job like always.
i have a k20c2 2022. i did the same thing, in place of the resonator, old muffler i saved, it’s in my trunk because it’s such a weird shape oughta keep it. To me, it’s loud as hell lol. it kind of has me driving more careful. might actually end up with better mpg lol. i know it’s not really loud though compared to what other people drive. oh i also have the rp6 catted down pipe and the ktuner. i keep ending up going 10mph faster than i think i am lol. manual tho
So I just had the dbx muffler installed with a evil energy exhaust tip and for some reason it's quite like stock but deeper than stock and that's it. 11th gen sedan (2.0 4cyl) What exhaust tip would you recommend and do you have a tune by chance? And yes ik the tip doesn't matter much but I feel like since the evil energy tip has the mesh shit like a resonator has and that making it quiter making it so there's no burbles?
Hmm thats weird, did you take off the original mufflers and resonators? I also have a intake but that wont change much sound unless really driving, and I have the reg tune 1 from ktuner but nothing too special was done. Do you have dual exhaust? I picked up the tips from Carid, they're 2.5inlet 4.5outlet
@@HighLinePrestige I replaced the resonator with the dbx muffler. But I honestly think it's cause of the tip which is weird to say, thinking it's causing it to act like a dual muffler so it takes away the burbles but keeps the low tone and low drone noise. I'm gonna see if I can take a Dremel to the inside and cut it out to see if that makes a difference.
Damn thats weird then, I'd understand if you still had the mufflers on then it be the problem since you'll have like 2-3 mufflers on and it won't make sound. But the exhaust tips I had were 2.5inlet, 4.5outlet and they were 9in long.
Hey homie, Just found out Arc Performance made a full on cat back for the Honda Civic 2.O liter! Haha, I wish i knew before i had my custom exhaust made 😅
@@HighLinePrestige Yeah , same with mine. Way back though, I had an Arc Performance catback on a previous car ….and man ….did it sound great! My ears were getting soo damn sensitive hearing the drone. But outside of that, It was a great setup. Not sure if this newer setup will have that drone issue. But I know you definitely don’t t have to press on the gas hard to hear the exhaust sounds 😎
Hey sorry to message late, I'm gonna upload a video by tomorrow, explaining the whole setup, and I'll put all the links down 👍 I appreciate all the support!🙏
Yep, took off the original muffler, took off the original resonator then where the resonator was I put the Flowmaster dbx muffler. Then I added a Y pipe to make it a dual exhaust setup! 🙌

I'm sure the piping would be about the same, but not 100% sure. It's just the original muffler taken off as well as the resonator. Then added the Flowmaster dbx 👍
I also have a hps short ram air intake, and Ktuner Tune 1. Maybe it's one of those that did something. I know when I just had the regular muffler delete it was popping a lot, so I'm not 100% sure sorry.

Guys muffler delete pops at around 28-30 let go and press it sligthly u hear the pops 2.0
Usually low gears on the Si or when you're really pushing it.
Mines does it when let go at 30 and slight press on gas
Mine does that too, but I notice louder pops when you accelerate hard from 26-27mph then let off the gas quick 🙌
