Motorised Airfix FW-190 full build..A nice kit for little money

  • I bought this several months ago because I liked the look of it but after looking closer I was put off by the colour scheme and left it until now.
    It's a typical colour scheme of German WW2 fighters with blended and blotched paint which means a lot of masking and it can be difficult to get right. I am quite happy with how this one turned out.
    It is a nice kit for very little money but the main wheels were not very defined and appear not moulded correctly. If you can see past this minor flaw then you will have a nice model..

    Very nice. What type of motor did you use?

      Motor is 4mm x 8mm.
      I get them from ebay...Just search for micro motors...👍

      @@307vrr that's great. How do you increase the length of the shafts? The ones I can see have a shaft of only a couple of mm.

      Use a bit of brass tube like I did in the video...I bought some on ebay which matched the shaft...0.7mm i.d. 0.9mm o.d.
      I normally put this info in the video but I neglected to so in this one sorry..

      Mike this is great - I have been trying to find motors small enough to fit in 1/72 aircraft, you have found the answer - so much more interesting than a purely static model - nicely done. 👍
