  • I MUST FIRST APOLOGIZE!!! THIS VIDEO IS SUPER LONG SO FEEL FREE TO FAST FORWARD THROUGH CERTAIN PARTS!!! In this video I show folks how to regreen , rebush or restore a vintage bubble light tree, who's visca covering is shedding and or bare!! I show you how to use more commonly found garland for doing this product. My earlier videos shows a greenery that was great for doing the process but it is no longer available. So everyone should be able to find this kind of garland and do this process.

    Hey friend, Thank you SO much for your videos! I just stumbled across your channel while trying to figure out how to repair exactly one of these vintage bubble light trees. I repair lamps and chandeliers regularly but have little to no experience with anything smaller than candelabra, so your videos are an absolute Godsend. I've learned so much and I've only watched a few minutes of content so far.

    Hi Scott, Factory Direct Craft usually has different sizes in pine rope garland.

      I wasn't aware that they had gotten some in to sell. Most of what they have is not the right size though. Much of what they are offering is MINI which is meant for making decorations in dollhouses. If you get that size stuff to redo a bubble light tree it will look really bad and won't be to scale. They have one that they claim is 3/4" across, but I think they may have their measurements wrong as it also looks like the dollhouse size. I went down this path of trying to find the correct width of needles and ended up sending most of it back as it was the tiny dollhouse size stuff and they give the wrong size in their description. Also price is a HUGE deterrent. I see one that may be the correct size, but In order to use that stuff, it is $5 each and you may need up to 20 of them to do a 9 light tree. That's $100 just to get the greenery, plus shipping. God forbid, if you need to regreen and 17 , 18 or 21 light tree.....it will cost more than the tree is worth. In this video, the greenery is only about $20 for one 9 foot piece of the garland, and I got the entire 9 light tree done with about a foot and a half of the garland still left. So again,be careful when buying from Factory Direct....Be sure of the size you are getting and make sure you will be able to return for free.

    Hello! I don’t know how else to contact you but it’s in reference to the video you did pertaining to the 2019 Golden Glow of Christmas Lights museum. I am super interested in the early electric lighting. Basically carbon filament bulbs, cloth cords, ceramic socket kind of stuff. You have a lot of great footage of that type of lighting in your video and was wondering if you had other stills of that same type of lighting that didn’t make your video? Would love to see those sometime. Thanks again for your interesting and informative videos!

    Does anyone know the exact make and model of this tree ? Thank you ❤️🙏

    • @c6lites
      @c6lites  7 месяцев назад

      I have always assumed this base is from Noma, but I just went thru may catalogs of Christmas Light companies and it actually looks like Paramount used this base on several of their trees. If you are asking about Make And Model as if you intend to go shopping on Ebay for one. All you really need to look for is Bubble Light Tree. Most seller's have no clue as to who the maker is....unless they have the original box. There were only about 4 companies that sold bubble light trees. Noma and their lesser company Glolite, plus Paramount/Raylite and lastly Royal. They came in 9 light, 17-18 light and 20-21 light varieties. There is a super rare 24 light tree that many of us believe was only made as a Prototype tree that was given to stores in 1943ish to test market the 1st Noma prototype bubble lights that were only released to see if they would be a success. Noma sold out of the prototypes that they had made, in Chicago, in just one hour. i think that was in '43.

      Ok, Now I have looked at the catalogs a bit more and see that Noma did use this base for perhaps one year.....And the plug on my tree says Noma!!! So there's the correct answer, LOL
