Only downsides are that the right oeddale unscrews itself while I use it and increasing the tension causes it to squeak while in use. Both are minor issues that aren't that important to me. So I give it 5 stars.

    I squat with shoes off and I would say turn your feet out a little more but like you say it's a Smith machine. Hamstrings are everything for me.

    I just got into the gym, i havent gone since college. Usually the smith machines are in use at my location so i might just double up on leg press since you said it's not a bad alternative. Thanks for posting this, it can be really intimidating to figure out a good workout routine as a gym newb, and of course PF is a little special compared to other gyms

    I really fw your channel bro it helped me set up a workout routine at planet fitness, almost every video i find on youtube shows a workout that I cant do at planet fitness. I workout sunday to friday with this order push, pull, legs and abs then repeat again the next 3 days. I only do cardio on my push and pull days. I just started out thanks for the help.

    Good video 😎👍 I train at Planet Fitness and the women and young bloods like your self seem to be what PF was created for. You use good weight and great form. My complaint is with the old dudes who are getting back into lifting or think they are the biggest guys there. Omg, it is PF , and not a Golds gym. I see guys who are there for attention rather then to really workout. I wish more guys respected the gym like you do.

    Thank you for this video. All the smith machines at my local PFs are all inclined, not straight vertically, so I have been trying to find alternatives. It’s a shame PF has no free weight barbells but can’t complain with that membership price

      @@WavvyFitness minus the dumbbell area and the open benches there with no racks, there aren’t any benches with vertical racks the only other options we have for bench are the smith machines at our PF and we only have the ones where the racks are slightly angled like a “ / \ “ shape. None of them are *actual* straight vertical racks like in your video. It sucks because you can get away with bench press workouts, but it seems fallible to try to do any squats cause you literally have to angle your body to how the racks are angled. It looks really weird and seems like asking for a future injury

    I just subscribed to your channel. Do you got a video doing squats with free weights? Also do you recommend doing forward lunges? Sometimes it's a struggle trying to maintain form without almost tripping.

    so usually i see people do there 3 sets on that one exercise than move onto the next exercise. is it better to just do 3 rounds of all of them like you did it ???

    You can do calf raises with the leg press if you put them on the bottom part and do the same motion you would do if you were standing at smith machine

    Can you please make some videos on how to use the equipment at the gym. I just started going to the gym on Monday is so far my experience been very uncomfortable. I don't have anybody to go to the gym with and I hate going to the gym by myself. Its seems like people are always watching and laughing because I don't know how to use some of the equipment instead of offering help. Really makes me want to give up but I needed to get rid of these extra pounds I put one over the holidays. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Do you do 3 sets initially on the first exercise or just do 1 set then go on to the next exercise

      Mark Torres when your first starting out I recommend doing 3 sets of each exercise then moving on to the next exercise I just edited this way to get to the point most ppl don’t want to sit though all 3 sets

    Good video except the smith machine calf raises. There was an excessive amount of bouncing causing momentum to interrupt proper form. Unless this is some scientific way of improving activation in the calves I do not believe the exercise was performed properly.

    Yeah I'm not going to lie, not a fan of planet fitness but I do go as my brothers guest.
    You did all the workouts I would @ PF. I hate that there are no barbells and trap bars.
