I’m new to Katarina, I’m emerald 3 myself, I’ve been trying for a week now to learn how to play it on a second account but I’m losing on silver :(, and all because people pick anskil heroes like volibear, etc. I tried different runes and builds but I can’t understand what is better to collect and what runes to take against tanks or bruisers, and is it worth buying any protective items or is one zhonya enough? Sorry for such a long message, maybe it will seem stupid to you T_T
You're probably just not used to Katarina's lane With most champs like yone, yasuo or irelia, you can force trades and if you play well mechanically by dodging and hitting everything you will usually win the trade. With kat even played perfect mechanically when ahead you can only trade when you see the enemy make a mistake like throwing out a cd badly or walking up on a big wave. If you don't see the enemy make a mistake just keep distance and farm with q, you'll usually go down like 20%cs doing this but most lanes you should be able to find windows to trade. So basically don't force trades and if you don't find a window to trade just farm safely.
rn I would say the best builds are: AP vs squishy (electrocute) - Stormsurge, Shadowflame, Rabadons, situational (zhonya void staff banshees) AP vs tanky (conqueror) - Nashors, Shadowflame, Rabadons, situational AD (conqueror) - BORK, Terminus, situational tank/bruiser items (good when you have too much AP on ur comp, vs kassadin or galio, and if enemies are tanky)
I will blind kat whenever she is not banned as long as I'm not off role but even off role I play kat top and bot sometimes. If Kat is banned I usually play Naafiri

ad kat is mostly the way to go currently, I see Nyro playing full ad or hybrid with riftmaker almost every game! gl in ur games :D

I tried it once but it doesn't do enough dmg to be better than conq

when do you take conq and when do take electrocute?
conq into tanky teams and electrocude/dark harvest into low hp enemies
I've been going dark harvest with cutdown secondary most games but usually it would be conq with AD, conq vs tanky and electrocute otherwise.
Do you always play Kat or are there some matchups you switch?

Why did you take Nashor from Talon and Storm from hwey?
I usually take storm but I went nashors in the last game for enemy mundo
since it is impossible to burst him I want some sort of consistent dmg.

@@_Rizzik_ recently I've just been liking dark harvest a lot and full dmg vs tanks is fine as long as it's consistent damage and not burst dmg

it looks good but it's just underpowered rn like you will play a 30 minute ad kat game and it's only done 800 dmg
It doesn’t do much damage on Kat now. It seems op but if u actually play it you will know why.
