Standup is Trevor's best talent. He's brilliant. His sets are worth seeing over and over. Hilarious intelligence.
I disagree. I think he is better at debating than standup. Very intelligent person, but more intelligent than he is funny.
It's because he gets to verbalise his observations and analyses from throughout the weeks.
Trevor is a thinker. But he needs to get it out as a spoken word. Get it out of heart and mind...to u! To us!

I had the pleasure of attending "The Daily Show". The great thing is the interactions with Trevor before the show and during the commercial breaks. He is very warm and friendly, and does not miss a beat. Loved the Netflix documentaries of his stand-up shows. Its on my Life List to attend one of his stand-up shows in person.
Travor Noah is inspired by the conversations he has with people he knows or doesn't know and that's what makes his comedy interesting, drawn from everyday life. He reminds me of the best comedian in sub-Saharan Africa called Jean Miché Kankan who was inspired by the conversations he had with his entourage. Such comedians do not invent anything and can improvise at any time because they are real facts.
A legend is born. His interactions with people and his understanding with individuals allow him to understand language and culture and his strengths in that makes him entertain us over and over. Kudos 👍
Keep shining Trev, you are an inspiration to millions.

I love this man. He is so talented !! When Jon announced Trevor as taking over the daily show I was like WTF !? who ?? But he stepped into the role, made it his own and has continued to impress me show after show.
Jon's choice of Trevor Noah was absolutely inspired.

Trevor is just one of the most charismatic and genuine show hosts ever. We just love him.

In order to find a replacement for himself, Jon Stewart had to come across someone who 1. had natural talent for comic improv, 2. had the ability to see things objectively, from a US but also a non-US perspective. 3. had an international dimension to him/her, with knowledge ABOUT the world, and not just USA. That's what Jon's show was essentially about and that's why it was also aired for non-US audiences through CNN International across the world. And that's why Trevor was the natural choice, being all 3 in one 😉😉
Yes. That was the hope. And it's what Jon Stewart turned the show into, because before Jon got the job, the Show was initially hosted For a brief period, by someone else with a different style.
However, I don't think Jon is happy with how the show has morphed into a political propaganda machine. It is biased now, it leans towards polarisation, a divisive scope. Well, let's just say the show is different now. That's what happens when studios push for the sake of money and agenda, rather than truth, something they couldn't do with Jon, And Jon has made comments to that effect without pointing fingers or mentioning names. Though its obvious.
I think it's why he got back Into the business with his online show "the problem with Jon Stewart". To tackle the big issues regardless of political party lines.
I don’t see as much political nuance in The Daily Show anymore, but I like trevors standup. I’ve been watching Jon Stewart’s new program though.

We had tickets for his Austin show until he cancelled (perhaps due to covid concerns). The guy is razor sharp and funny as can be. The stories he wrote on his life growing up in South Africa are incredible.

I love Trevor Noah, even before he was the host of the Daily Show. When I was teaching World History, I would show my 10th grade students a clip of his routine called “England is not so special,” at the end of my Imperialism lecture. He is brilliant and funny.

Please, 60 Minutes, I know it’s a just a short clip, but captions would be amazing, especially as quickly as they speak and with some people speaking off-camera. Even auto-generated captions are not available on this clip (and is not a good captioning system for accents or fast speakers). Love, love, love Noah Trevor, and captions would allow for us Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing viewers to be able to enjoy this video was well. Thank you! 🙏🏾
Yes, 60 Minutes @60Minutes should be doing better. They are at a level where captions should be an automatic add for any clip, all the time. (Interpreter here - so frustrating that so many huge corporations can't do better in this department. With technology today it is such a simple add).

You must be thinking of the one isolated case who discarded her original speech to assume an American diction. There are huge variations in South African accents. His is the better one. Also, all the Aussie entertainers speak normally.

Saw Trevor's Standup/stand OUT comedy show on tour, "Back to Abnormal" in SF recently. He is master craftsman...I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time! He had us all in "stitches"
