You know what I love? Videos where the camera gets so close to every single thing that you can't get any perspective or context and you gain no sense whatsoever of the vehicle you're looking at. That's always the best....
+nyak63RUS You know what I love? Comments that are arrogantly sarcastic without any real attempt to add a shred of information, corrections or value to the discussion... especially when the commenter has zero content of their own! Those are always the best...
MikesCarInfo You seriously didn't get any information from my comment? Let me be a little more clear by quoting my own comment: "you can't get any perspective or context and you gain no sense whatsoever of the vehicle you're looking at" Put simply: You're too close to the things you're shooting. If you don't like my comment that's fine, but try being the bigger man on your own channel next time and not stoop to the level of some internet troll.
+nyak63RUS Funny, I respond to your comment in the same way you commented and you interpret that as being "some internet troll" I can tell you never tried to film inside a vehicle... otherwise you would know that there is not much space to work with. Most people know where the steering wheel is in relation to the radio without a map. If you wanted to make a productive comment you could have said something like this: "For anyone that is having trouble following the interior shots of this video here is a picture for context topcarsreleasedates.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/2016-Dodge-Ram-2500-interior.jpg"
MikesCarInfo You need to work on your interpretation skills- I was referring to myself as an internet troll. As in "not stoop to the level of some internet troll" with you stooping to the level set by myself, which was troll level. I guess I need to be a lot more clear next time. The point is, I've seen plenty of videos in which they give a better sense of the space in a vehicle. Clearly we all know where the steering wheel is, that's not why we watch these videos. But we also know what door handles look like so we probably don't need a closeup shot of them. Again, if you can't accept criticism, despite the unhelpful tone in which it's delivered, that's your prerogative. But try to at least act like a professional- it's *your* channel, just ignore me if you don't like what I'm saying.
+nyak63RUS A self-proclaimed (and apparently butt-hurt) troll telling me to act professional... how rich. Take your own advice and ignore my comments if you don't like what I am saying. Better yet... ignore my videos if you don't like how I make them.
My RAM has just over 100K miles on it now and I've not had ONE problem. I change the fluids when I'm supposed to and I tow a large trailer at times. I get about 17 miles per gallon all around town. The truck is quiet, powerful and rides nice. Love the truck and it is very tough.
Mike, thanks much for taking the time to make these neat videos.....BTW, you are right about the power folding tow mirrors for 2015, past years only had the smaller sport mirrors that had power fold.....I swapped my 2014 tow mirrors for 2015 tows, and the dealer flashed the BCM and added the fold button.....It is really a necessity with the bigger mirrors.....
One interesting feature that you missed in the screen setup section is that you can choose to add 2 digital gauges that are placed along the left side of the screen. Those gauges curve around the right side of the tach and there are several gauges to choose from. There are also 2 more slots where you can add other pieces of information along the bottom of the screen, like Trip A or B mileage, Fuel economy, etc.
Hey , great job with the video. My only suggestion would to not have the diesels running when you're going over the exterior features. It makes the vehicles seem too loud. Your video was very informative and not boring. Nice job.
Just wanted to say thanks. Your videos helped me very much in my search for a new truck. When I finally ended up at a dealership I already knew most of what he told me because I watched this vid. Thanks again, man, keep it up.
I have a 2014 with 4x4 and the Cummins 6.7L and I have a laundry list of problems: 1) At 22,000 miles the rear end blew apart on I-75 near Naples, FL. It sounded like a grenade went off and it stalled the engine which led to no power steering or brakes. Had it towed to the closest dealer on Labor Day weekend and it left us stranded over 300 miles from home and all rental companies were closed for 4 days. It took 2.5 weeks to swap the entire rear end and Ram could not identify what caused it (the ring, pinion, and all spider gears were destroyed). Note: the warranty covered the repair but I had to pay all hotel costs and rental car fees costing over $800 and Ram refused to reimburse me. 2) Truck had a vibration in the rear end after the repair. Dealer claimed it was the tires. Replaced the tires at 30,000 miles due to excessive wear and it shook worse with the new tires. I had a hunch the rear drive shaft (made of aluminum) was warped because it wasn't replaced after the rear detonated. Sure enough, dealer replaced the drive shaft and it fixed the vibration. 3) 3 weeks later a TPS sensor was throwing a code. Ram had a service bulletin out to replace all 4 wheel sensors due to reliability and I had to pay $100 deductible. 4) 4 weeks later the engine light came on. The selective catalyst regeneration system failed. Ram replaced the entire exhaust system under warranty and the service manager told me he has seen this failure over 50 times at his small dealership in Thomasville, GA. 5) Several weeks later the passenger side seat cushion needed to be replaced due to it sagging. 6) My 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty just expired and now I have water powering in around the passenger side windshield around the grab handle when it rains. It's the original windshield so the seal must have been poorly installed. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with my purchase by I am glad you are having better luck.
Mike, the other revised item on the 2015's is the chrome trim around the console & A/C vents is more of a dull silver and not shiny....On my '14 2500, it is highly reflective and distracting when the sun is directly overhead......
Mike, you do a nice job on these videos. As someone who's posted a lot of videos I can appreciate the gear you use and the quality of your content. I've watched a ton of your Ram videos. Please keep posting :) Thanks
starting 45.900 bucks i need move to america! the place where you can work with dignity and have everything you want. Here in Brazil Dodge Ram is just for rich people!
Very well done video. Dealers don't show their vehicles near as thoroughly. However, spending more monthly on a truck than your home must feel weird. I like the truck but that price is insane.
Does the tail gate have a 'lift assist' feature. I just bought a 2015 Ram 2500 Limited and the tail gate is heavy and just falls down with a loud bang. Takes a bit to lift it and close it as well. In your video, not obvious, it appears that you don't use much effort to lower nor close the tail gate when review the bed extender.
+Motleymick thank you. I am aware of the after market option. My goal with my inquiry was to make sure that I received the options that I paid for with the purchase of my truck (MSRP >$70K). Since my 08 Tundra had a soft opening tailgate, which also made it very light to close, and the Ram website clearly states that it comes with Tailgate Lift Assist (www.ramtrucks.com/en/ram_2500/exterior/). I find that whatever assist has been installed does not work as nicely as my old Toyota Tundra.
It's a great engine, our 2010 2500 had it. The 2014 we traded it for is also the 6.7 and is really good too but the diesel exhaust fluid freezes so that bogs that reliability down a bit.
Been wanting these trucks since 1996 however I love this one though... Fully loaded minus the sunroof (more of a clearance lights kinda guy). Bought a Dodge 2500 conversion van back in '96 at Lake Norman and still in good condition, was gonna buy a truck but money was tight. One day I'm gonna buy this. Btw, I pass by Vann Underwood Dodge from time to time while I'm vacationing to go to Myrtle, maybe one day I'll slide though and see it in person.
+Yakkin' Off I bought mine for around $57K new with 15 miles on it. There is A LOT of wiggle room in these prices. The out the door price is different based on taxes, tags and licensing fees.
+McNasty Hahahaha me too, it costs about +$70 K where I live (Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), so fuck this shit.. if I were in the US i'll buy two, 1 to have fun with and extreme off roading and shit, and the other to keep it high maintained..

+Devan Heiman Well... that depends who you ask. My wife says no but I say YES!!! I traded in my '08 Toyota Tundra Crew Max Limited. I've never owned a Diesel before and so far I am very pleased. I compared the Ford F-250, and Checy 2500 HD LTZ, and Denali HD. I liked the trim and interior layout of the Ram. The RAM boxes are worth their weight in gold. What am I towing you might ask....my butt, mulch, and whatever I might buy at big box warehouse store or Home Depot. It's very much a toy to satisfy my ego!!! I love the push button start, UConnect App Radio (when it works), and cooled seats. Pet peeves include the lack of a soft open or assisted tailgate and a hitch receiver plug wasn't included. I haven't done any regular maintenance yet, only 2500 miles, but I did prepay for all of the service up to 100K miles through the dealership.
Do you homework people and stay away from the 6 cylinder RAM ecodiesel. They don't take the little added cost to key the cam gears, but instead just tighten them down with a bolt that will eventually allow the valve gear to slip and thus the motor blows.
Usually... I think it depends on where you are at. Send them a text message or email with a link to this video and your location and see if they can ship it for a reasonable price.

amazing video mike. I would love to see one of a 3500 limited megacab dually.
Loved this video and love the truck. I'm going to be getting one soon, Limited edition with the crew max cab.
Thanks Ryan! Please share your experience with it when you get it in.

Great! Going to need one of these so I can haul a few broken down Fords.
Fords sucks, triton shit, hemi pure power
Ram Is the truck with the best interior, Chevrolet Is the longest lasting truck and Ford well Is For gays

If you ain't talking Cummings, i don't wanna talk
B______ F________ I know. Autocorrect was being a bitch and Im too lazy to correct lol.
That start up was sexy!
Do you know if we can get those towing mirrors for a different year Ram 1500.
Good catch Cummins have grid heater not glow plugs. I enjoyed your video I have the same truck but a 6.4 hemi

the limited supposed to have color matched bumpers? or is that what the chrome trim package does?
EZkill5 You can delete the Chrome bumper and get color matched bumpers instead.
man you should rev this beast! I'd love to hear that that beasty 6.7l diesel
It's a great engine, our 2010 2500 had it. The 2014 we traded it for is also the 6.7 and is really good too but the diesel exhaust fluid freezes so that bogs that reliability down a bit.

is amazing...

Was für eine coole Karre den will ich haben
damn I can't wait to get mine's!
What's the difference between the Laramie Limited and the Laramie Longhorn?
Jason Muffenbier Mostly the styling. The longhorn has a western/Texas style and the Limited is just fancy. Both have a ton of features.
Like King Ranch and Harley Davidson when it was being made.
Nice detailed video man!
How reliable are these trucks?
Great review, nicely done.
awesome video good detail
is amazing Truck
....DOES IT INCLUDE DUAL BATTERY AND DUAL ALTERNATOR AS STANDARD FOR ALL RAM 2500 DIESEL 6.7 CUMMINS TURBO?
that us a option
$70k?!? Who buys this trim? Lottery winners?
Not necessarily. My family isn't wealthy and we own the 2014 year of this exact truck, trim and all.
People who know and get what they want. Price is nothing compared to what you desire!
What kind of fuel economy are you getting with this truck?
I don't have any long-term experience with this truck but I have heard owners say they get 17-18 on the highway and 12-14 around town.
mein Traumauto....
neat video
Why does the 2500 and 3500 get to have the stick shifter but the 1500 has that stupid little knob as a shifter
I was looking at the price and I was like "Holy shit this is cheap" then I realized you're probably in the US.
