I was a super fan of SuJu before and I remember getting all excited over this teaser because it looked so badass and the music was catchy. All that tension and excitement only to be slightly disappointed when the music video came out. Its totally different from the teaser. I love the MV but i didnt see any connection with the teaser. But yeah it's just a teaser. I still loved them. :)
The person who says ''Simple'' & ''Mr. Simple'' is Yoo Young Jin, a composer of sm. In the mv teaser, concert, vcr's and more of snsd, suju , tvxq, etc. is the one who always talks are not members of groups
i don't know who did this teaser but whoever he was i hope SM will work with him for their MVs ! i mean, the idea was clearly original and new but it's like they decided to drop it for some reason. I don't understand SM's logic, why do they release awesome teasers, artistic and interesting but decide to use crappy MVs instead ? it's like SM doesn't want its artists to have good MVs o.O
***** in a perfect world, yeah the song should be the only thing that matters but nowadays, added to a good song, a good MV is what catches the public's attention. In Kpop especially, the comebacks must be visually satisfying, so knowing this SM should make some efforts. but i agree SM doesn't bother giving great MVs to its artists especially Super Junior, because they know that fans will buy the albums anyway. It actually shows the lack of artistic understanding they have. If SM really cared about the artistic part they would do anything possible to change the poor image that the public has of them in that area. At the end, SM only cares about the money. It's truly disappointing.

Actually, I don't think this teaser is scary or creepy at all. The concept is actually very fascinating. It symbolises how people are "trapped" by their worries and burdens in life (the ropes, the shell-like outer coverings), but by adopting the carefree, "simple" attitude that Super Junior advocates in the lyrics of Mr Simple, they can break free of these trappings and become who they really are. The way they managed to bring this message across is surprisingly elegant. NEW FAVOURITE TEASER.

Instead of illuminati, i think it make reference to stay simple. I interpret it this way, mostly the part where a person tied up and the part where they start falling dry skin. Getting rid of the chains and shackles. As are the concerns, resentment, hatred, interest, etc.. And, show you how you are indeed, beyond the mask or makeup, past the fake smiles and pride. Just live with what you got and who you are, and fight for what you really need and not for what you want.

The first time I saw the teaser I didn't get it, but now I understand. The rope, the clay. Rope like breaking through same with the clay. Kind of like how the song is about just being relax sometimes :)
