i have a problem with ansys pemag. When i start model generation(2D), an error pops up in"write fields" process, showing "Finished with errors" status. I dont get what I did wrong. There is no solution. Can you help me.
I appreciate your effort to show the simulation. Thank you. How to make the primary 20turns in 5layer instead of single layer. I need to put each layer 4 turns.
The Windings section of the video shows how to set this up with the general philosophy being that you setup the winding config in the "All" tab and windings can be added in series or parallel so going from left to right is each layer and then if a winding is stacked on top of another winding it will be on the same layer. Then you wire them together and to the terminals. So in your case you would split your 20 turns into 5 separate windings of 4 turns each so you could put them as 5 layers from left to right and then you wire them up in series. Then you create 2 terminals and connect the first to the input of the first winding and the last to the output of the last winding. Hope that makes sense and feel free to ask more questions, thanks for watchin!
Thank you for your response. I want to implement the winding in vertical bobbin. There is a separator in between primary and secondary. So i used sublayer to made the winding. But i increase the secondary conductor size same way primary layer thickness also increases. If i share the image then understanding will be easier. @@CircuitAnalysis
@@kubendrangovindasamy3161 You may be able to put the pic on google drive or something like that and make it public and share a link? Are you trying to interleave the primary and secondary on the same layer? If you need a super accurate geometry I would suggest you skip PEMag and just model the geometry in Maxwell or even another 3D cad program and import it into Maxwell. If you look in the playlist in the description I have a video on modeling the coil geometry from scratch in Maxwell: ruclips.net/video/EXr0lcjaCqI/видео.htmlsi=oCnCoP46DNL0IQsA
I'm not entirely sure, but PEmag is pretty old so I'd recommend just modeling your actual geometry from scratch, which I made a video on here: ruclips.net/video/EXr0lcjaCqI/видео.html

Are there any errors in the Design Status tab?
it works when i check "Use Electronics Pro, Premium, Enterprise product licensing". thank you!
I tried to validate the model and went into Modeler FEA 2D but the option was greyed out - any idea why? Followed your exact steps
Which was greyed out, the "FEA Based (2D)"?
@@CircuitAnalysis the same for me
@@CircuitAnalysisyes, the same question, "Start model generation" is gray.
I reopened the file the next day and your operation was perfectly reproduced.
@@spiceshowAwesome, thanks for sharing your fix!

can we combine two cores and do windings on combined lim, in PEmag ?

I am unable to fing PE mag tool in ansys electronics desktop
It is a separate program. Check in the start menu or install directory. I could be possible that it is not installed on your system.
@@CircuitAnalysis thankyou sir.
