And what happens to water when it’s heated? Evaporation. The results being a foundation that has the same amount of ingredients BUT less water. So, your pigments are the same, but you water is far less. This would apply to any makeup product that’s made with a majority of water. =)

I tried this with La Mer liquid foundation on my stovetop. It did turn into an extreme full coverage foundation and the consistency changed to a thick paste. It also oxidized and became a darker shade; 2 shades darker to be exact. This is because a lot of the alcohol, oil, water and other liquid additives completely evaporated. When those ingredients evaporate or thicken/ harden, you’re left with a paste like substance that lost all of its diluted agents. While it’s fuller coverage, you could be burning out some skin happy ingredients so keep that in mind if your foundation has skincare and moisturizing agents. And if your foundation has a hefty price tag, you’ll be burning out some ingredients you paid a lot for! 💋 Love you sisters P.S. If you try this, try it the way James did. Take the amount of product you need out of its container to heat up. If you leave your makeup in it’s container in a hot place for a long period of time, bacteria will grow and cause irritation to your skin and eyes. Please be careful, especially with liquid lipsticks! Liquid lipsticks have ingredients that cause extremely harmful bacteria to grow when left in hot places. Don’t leave your makeup in your car or a hot room in your home for any amount of time. 💋
