The monument was opened on May 3, 1990. Sculptor A. A. Arkhipov, architect A. P. Chernov. Material - bronze, granite. The height of the memorial sign is 500 cm.
Inscription on the monument:
“The division fought with fascist troops in the battle for Leningrad on the Luga line, in the Olonetsky and Svirsky directions. More than eight thousand militiamen died in the battles for the Motherland.”
