They deep fry the fries in beef tallow. McDonalds used to do that too until they got sued when vegetarians found out, so they switched to a different type of oil. Beef tallow is far superior though.
And now they fry it in toxic seed oil, oh the fucking irony. It wasn't really vegans though, it was big corpo and the government. Seed oil (not vegetable oil, I refuse to call it that) is incredibly cheap to produce with a huge profit margin.
It really depends on where you go. I was born and raised in St. Louis. I have excellent and horrible barbecue experiences. I am now in the south and waiting for this stupendous southern restaurant experience.
Kansas City has always been known for BBQ (never ever heard anyone recommend STL BBQ). If you go to KC, definitely go to Oklahoma Joe’s, Q-39, and, JackStack. Gates, honorable mention. (I haven’t lived in KC in years but those were the go-to spots).
Whoever said StL was known for they BBQ was trippn. Should be Kansas City Mo BBQ🥇. STL got THE BEST CHINESE FOOD. 💯💯💯Can't wait to get me some next time I visit again.
I get so tired of hearing that STL is known for their Chinese food...fried rice. If you're a native and grew up on it, then you think it's the best. There is good bbq in STL, but it depends on your preference. I'm not knocking KC, but every bbq spot isn't mind blowing there.
As a Texan myself who loves bbq and been all around the country the only few states I would say come close to Texas is the Carolinas. Them pit masters in the Charlotte area makes great bbq. Texas swears they have the best bbq. KC swears they have the best, the Carolinas swear they have the best. It's all your personal preference. You can go to any of those locations and find bad food.
bro, i dont know where you're gonna hit up next, but every video now until you find this place, you GOTTA hit up pit 105 in williston, ND. i got the back the bleu sandwich with mac and cheese and it was INCREDIBLE. mac and cheese doesnt taste like much alone, you need to chop up the pickles and pickled onions and mix it up in there to draw out all the flavor. god tier food right there.
You need to try Kansas City because this is not looking good for St louis. And mind you I have no dog in this fight I'm just wondering because I keep hearing all the talk about they barbecue. I like to travel in taste the local cuisine. So I'm curious
I’ve been there, got a two meat special to go, chicken and brisket, with extra sauce…I was given tasteless pulled chicken that appeared to have been watered down to moisten it, served in what appeared to be a 1 or 2 ounce sauce cup, I was given six 1/2” squares of the saltiest brisket burnt ends I’d ever tasted….these were the smallest servings of barbecue that I have ever seen….the sauce was good though….
Morning breakfast is Picnic basket baked turkey bread and fave sauce and coffee thermos.. good for the day ?? Any leftover reheat ..bag of meaty baked pastry Parma, sausage Buffalo strip
As a Texan who works in a BBQ joint, I haven't really heard much about St. Louis style bbq, if at all. We use the namesake cut of ribs, but yeah, the best BBQ in Missouri is gonna be in Kansas City.
You went to the white people bbq spots LOL, I like their kids meal 🍔. I get it for myself but the Black hood bbq that taste good is King Prince on Union and St Louis Q on Goodfellow and W Florissant
you’re not lying lol, my coworkers and i ate there when we went to St. Louis for a work trip and i unfortunately got those dry ssa ribs too, could barely choke them down even w/ tons of bbq sauce 😵.
