Sometimes I see half renovated properties and you often wonder why work stopped, but after seeing what some families went thru mysellf, I might have a partial explanation. Farmers were and are still used to doing everything themselves, including building work, esp in deep country where builders are hard to get, , but in the 1980's and 1990's the govt and councills cracked down on DIY's and required a certified builder to do your work or at least supervise it and sign off on it. This meant an extra expense many farmers just did not have. That combined with the severe drought in the early 1980's, and to some extent the 1990's meant so many yet more farms were just abandoned. So sad to see these homes like this - but glad you do it.
Valiant Regal, made from 60s to early 80s, That one probably late 70s, Early 80s, 265 motor, My boss in 70s , had a sedan with 265, about 1974 model, Good find,

Its weird for me to see a chrysler regal, because I'm used to a buick regal (my mom's favorite car) here in the states. Cool old house, very surprised to see such a mess inside. The chairs were actually in smazing condition considering how long theyve been there.
This cottage farm was most definitely a magnificent find with the old vehicles and a lot of great stuff, yeah the roof looks very new and the inside of the house is filled with a lot of stuff and junk Thank You for yet another great find in an abandoned house and I wish you a very Merry Christmas Thank You.🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Old CM Chrysler Valiant wagon, upmarket Regal and the last of the Valiants. I had a white sedan back in the day, beautiful car. Just like you're driving sitting on a lounge chair. They were built between 1978 and 1982 at Tonsley Park. That's when Mitsubishi took over and began assembly of the first Magna and last of the Sigmas.
My Dad used to work for Brighton cement. Those cement bags could be from the 80's. My Dad worked at the Rapid Bay mine in the 80's that supplied the blue stone that goes into making cement 😊❤. Once they put in too much explosives and rocks rained down on the town 😂 glad no one was hurt. My Dad loved cement and was excellent at laying down cement paths and paving 😂😁
Hi Josephine 😊 thanks for the info, wow I bet the rocks raining down would have been a talking point to say the least 😁 sounds like you dad knew his stuff and was great at it. Cheers for watching and the support 😊👍
Oh my gosh what a beautiful old gem sitting in the country side, wow all the old cars and things sitting around kind of feels a bit eerie. Thank you for the tour 😊❤🌟x
Ooh! Aussie automobiles! I bet I can't identify a single one. I can say the steerin wheel's are sure to be on the right. 🤠👍 🇺🇸 6:05am, 3.3°c, 38°f in Baltimore, Maryland.
What a gorgeous house! The old cars look like they have been sitting there a long time. Lots of stuff to look at. Thanks for another great explore. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Stay safe
Hey Paul. Thanks for another great find. You take us exploring with you. I don't know how you manage to find so many empty farm houses. A real Sherlock Holmes you are. That house was probably someone's weekender. A place to escape to on the weekend and have fun just bringing this little cottage back from ruin. I'd say they got too busy to get back to it. And some arseholes just trashed it. They may get back there eventually. 🇦🇺
The Chrysler had a slant six engine in it. It was used in Dodges also. From the 1960s to the 1980s. From the body I would guess that was in the late 70s early 80s. I had two dodges around that time. The engines were great.
What a great find! I'm sure there's many reasons why the renovations stopped, but hoping that it might be renovated again as it's too good to waste. There's definitely signs someone was living there with so many 10 litre waters. I don't believe squatters lived there.
I, too, would be tempted to seek a way to keep one of those beautiful fieldstone walls exposed. Looks like they may have tried epoxy. Wonder if there would be a way to seal it with a less heavy-handed finish. My curiosity took me to the Kong Wah Electronic selling that ONWA as a Smart TV. Even the mess does not hide the charm the old place still has.
A unique expore today in a lot of ways, this was a man's home, one who surely valued his outhouse with a padlock. Not a woman's item in sight. If he only was there to do improvements he sure aimed to make it easier by havin a dishwasher. I hope he comes back to finish his work but I'm just not sure. The Credo stove is the first I've ever seen with an oven door that opens at the right. Maybe he accidentally included cement in his meatloaf recipe while baking and is why he's no longer there. THE END Thanks for the tour Paul! 🤠👍
Another awesome explore mate might of been a motor bikers den looking at all those magazines and a lot of stuff in this one too. Its an odd shaped cottage with those metal awnings. And where was the bathroom, anyway another cool one mate cheers.
Urbex Indigo thanks for sharing his wonderful video ireally enjoyed it i will always show you support to your channel and i am from the U.S.A and i can't wait to see your next video and God Bless.
The tyre leaning against the back of the the first Pulsar had no tread on it! Looks like someone intended fixing the walls with the bags of cement piled up. Think the did one wall. Love that Victorian fireplace, but not a fan of the glazing on the stone above it. The large shed could be fixed as the frame looks sturdy and intact. Wonder why they gave up renovating the cottage.
At 6:03 the oven door looks like it opens sideways, like a dryer. That was a very small house. Maybe the work got to be too much for them so they just quit.
Too bad they made the mistake with those ventilators, they are a scam and don’t work. There are better ventilation methods that work without breaking and leaving a hole in your roof.
In the fridge it said butter not butler. It would be a pretty small butler in there!

The butler put the 'butter' in the fridge.😊

To see it back in its former glory!...... love the stonework.

Beautiful stone work, stands out in the landscape. Shame whoever it was didn’t get to finish fixing this place up. Thanks Paul

Yeah, that door inside the fridge said BUTTER, it's where the butter goes, lol 🤭. Love your videos, and that accent!! 😉🤭😊
The Valiant is probably auto 245/265 hemi motor. I've had a few back in the day. I've also had a v8.
I think I had a VF/VG series V8.
Someone probably already mentioned that was 'Butter' inside the old fridge
The old valiant eh ,probably made over in Lonsdale. I think that might have been butter on the fridge interior.Enjoyed as always.
Definitely
Love that stone work "VERY COZY " lot's of potential.
They have been repointing the stone walls and they look good. Hard work.
Great find & explore when can I move in
I really do hope someone goes back and finishes the work on this place at least the roof will protect the rest of it for a time nice find

We had a Valiant Wagon just like that one when I was growing up, pretty sure it was from around early 80s, I miss it very much.
A charming homestead, another sad curious story. ❤

The number plate on the Chrysler wagon isnt the correct one its of a green Mitsubishi ahaha
Yay! I'm up 🙂
