- Shimla also known as Simla, is the capital city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India.In 1864, Shimla was declared as the summer capital of British India, succeeding Murree, northeast of Rawalpindi. After independence, the city became the capital of Punjab and was later named the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
It is the one of the best tourist destination of India.

Farooq Kapadia Farooq, it doesn't make any sense. If ur a Muslim, why would u be proud to be Indian. See Muslim India aka Pakistan was created for Indian Muslims to have as a homeland . If ur a believer in Islam, why would u be proud of an infidel country??? It's prosperity is because of the non Muslim population and non Islamic value system. I mean look at Pakistan, had ur and pakistanis' ancestors remained ur ancesteral religion after the Mughals invaded or at least now go back to it, the lands of Sindh, balochistan, west punjab would have been amazing.
