Following your instruction I succeeded to bring back to life my 15 years old SCX 4521F which is again fully functional for our home office. Like some other who commented - I also replaced all electrolytics on board.

2020 and I repair mine, exactly the same problems. I change the two fat Capacitors, the 1500uf/10V for a 1500uf/16V, and I found the 680uf/35V. So, juste 3.45$ the repair. Thank you my friend.

Thanks a bunch for the helpful video. I was able to fix it. Oct 2018, and printer is still going strong. Saved it from the dump. By the way, i changed the other capacitor as well, easier now than later.

Thanks, got the exact same problem. I replaced all 5 capacitors in power circuit and it works! :)

Hai, when I switch on my Samsung ml1640 printer in on-line /error led glows orange and toner led glows red for 2 seconds later both led switch off. Please tell me how to resolve this issue.
