When the k-pop industry and k-bands started to feel boring, QWER came like a cool breeze and made me happy again. with their growth band concept and content that most idols can't do, they brought a new color to the Korean music and entertainment industry.
QWER is really grabbing My attention and recognition as a group who has a beautiful and very well blessed song and music with some major things to look at
I could recommend for the next reaction their short film (the prequel to T.B.H) and 'My Name is Malgeum' (lyrics, co-produced and co-directed by Soyeon)
I wonder if that is a siyomin decision, because when she was in NMB48 not only was her Japanese good, but her Japanese comedy timing was spot on (delivery, puns, etc).
To me personally, the Bsides is where it is at when it comes to QWER music. Harmony of stars, Make our Highlight, Ferris Wheel, Rebound are my favorite tracks from them
QWER has been so fun and such a fresh breath of air in the K-Pop scene now. Can I also recommended PLAVE music? They bring so much new things in K-Pop scene by being a virtual idol group, but that aside I think their songs are the one of things that get them to be popular in SK right now. Being a self-composed group offer them some interesting distinct sounds to their songs. I recommend you to give it a try to listen Wait For You, The 6th Summer, and Pump Up The Volume to get a taste of their discography!
bro this group has grown on me, aside from getting recognized in recent year end award shows, i find that how the company recruited them is interesting too lol. Siyeon (voc) is interesting to me and i feel like altho she's not sakura (lsf) level in past experience, but the fact that she was an ex NMB48 member doesn't get the attention enough.
@@BlueVoltageBlader The filming location is an abandoned school in Japan. It is not due to Corona, but rather, as is the case with many closed schools, it seems to have been closed for the usual reasons such as a decrease in the local population, and it is said to be a place that is often used as a filming location in Japan.
@14:40 fun fact, that was the voice of the bassist (Magenta, the one who is trying to confess) not the vocalist (Siyeon, the one who carries magnifier and trying to investigate). in some songs they were given parts of song to sing along, a quick member introduction, Q, Chodan the leader of band, plays drum W, Magenta, the eldest of the member, plays bass guitar E, Hina, the maknae, plays guitar and keyboard R, Siyeon, the vocalist, sometimes play guitar to accompany ryhtms/leads guitar.
I’m so happy for the success they are getting. They deserve it. I’ve known shiyomin since she was in nmb48 and I followed here to QWER. They have such an amazing discography.
Hey, PD. Long time fan. Thanks for your reaction. I just wanted to comment on the rooftop scene starting in 4:18 of your video! You said that it was interesting how they had the reactions of Egg-nim in the top corner just like a variety show, but I personally think that this scene is a homage to a famous Japanese TV program called 「未成年の主張」(Miseinen no shuchou, or "Claims of the minors"in english). (I didn't fact check so apologies if I am wrong) I believe it was aired from 1999 to 2007 and it was a part of a bigger TV show called "GROOVY AFTER SCHOOL" Essentially, the TV crew went to Random Japanese schools and the students who got picked would go up to the rooftop, and they would have the opportunity to speak in front of all the other students and teachers. Many students took the opportunity to confess their love to another student. Some of the footages got edited and posted on tiktok which became quite popular few months ago. Just some insight I thought was interesting to share!
the way u prefer the quirky humor (amongst of all aspects) in that mv but u still don't know why suddenly there's a rock get interviewed by siyeon, 'cause i knew why hahahah
Thanks for the detailed QWER TBH review!! Could you do review for the other QWER songs? Just curious how outside of Korea feels about their songs. Also I'm curious if you are a Korean. Your Korean pronunciation is perfect, and how you understanding lyrics is outstanding. (I also lived in US more than half of my lifetime)
Manito album is a masterpiece, but you need listen "algorithms blossom" For me its the album of the year, every song is ♥_____________♥. I'll waiting for the next react "my name is malgeum" :')

A reminder : “T.B.H” is the most played(1st in rank) song on RUclips music in Korea in 2024.
QWER is really grabbing My attention and recognition as a group who has a beautiful and very well blessed song and music with some major things to look at
btw, the vocalist is an ex-idol from 48 group, so singing while conveying a high energy is indeed her forte
Thank you for reacting to QWER with their song of "T.B.H". They really deserve the recognition with their talents ❤
I could recommend for the next reaction their short film (the prequel to T.B.H) and 'My Name is Malgeum' (lyrics, co-produced and co-directed by Soyeon)
she was interviewing a rock bc the lyric line at the time was "소용돌이쳐....." and the scene fell on beat when she sang "돌". It's the most dad thing ever
I wonder if that is a siyomin decision, because when she was in NMB48 not only was her Japanese good, but her Japanese comedy timing was spot on (delivery, puns, etc).
what does it mean?
@@danielpeyrou lol, 돌, on its own means rock. 소용돌 means whirlpool

Thank you for talking about QWER. They are so energetic and fascinating group in SK. Please pay more attention to their music.
IMO this feels so much more like a Jpop, that's why it feels so good

Apparently the MV was shot in an abandoned school in Japan
why abandoned? Covid?

Love QWER ❤ their b-sides are just as good!

고민중독 발음 왜케 좋데
Please Remember their Names ❤ Q for Chodan, W for Magenta, E for Hina (NyangNyeongYeongNyang😂) and R for Siyeon (Siyoming)❤
You should check their live, It's far more better than the recorded version. My fav is Let's Love.
This is the most anime intro ever
please check out 'my name is malgeum' as well as 'fake idol' , both songs are really good
Another order of a QWER reaction please!
